"Lynnda Ell pays a lovely homage to the timeless beauty and power of the Psalms in this first volume of prayers inspired by the book of Psalms. Ell covers the first 41 Psalms, accompanying each one with a personal prayer inspired by the words of the biblical psalmist. Her offerings are deeply heartfelt, often thought-provoking, and always encouraging. This book is a challe ...more

This is the next set of Pslams from this author, she writes an inspirational piece with each one. While I do not agree with all in the book (as stated also by another reader), I very much appreciate the strength, love and devotion I felt from the author while reading this book. It is also nice to have a place to journal throughout the book.

I was very blessed to receive a signed copy from the author. Thank you.

In Words of Power, Echoes of Praise, Prayers from the Psalms, Book II, author Lynnda Ell again brings us a wonderful devotional book with prayers based on the Psalms. I know Lynnda Ell's heart is to help draw the hearts of the readers closer to God as they pray inspired by Lyndda's interpretive prayers. In sum I do believe she does an excellent job in this regard.

However, I do have a issue to point out. In her interpretive prayer on Psalm 44, regarding the founding of our country, she credits Go

Lynnda Ell has done a great job once again with her second book on the Prayers from Psalms. Taking the Psalms of David that were written 3,000 years ago and modernizing those words and how can relate today is nicely done. I appreciate how each psalm is broken out by verse on the left side and the modern day prayer is on the right. This book was easy to read and covers the middle third of the Psalms found in the bible. I look forward to the final book to complete my collection of the Book of Psal ...more

A must have for your spiritual bookshelf. In this her second book, Lyndda continues to use her gifts she has been blessed with. She opens up the God inspired words from the Psalms and shows how they can be applied into your own prayer life. Giving meaning to passages written thousands of years ago and relating them to the life of the modern Christian. Even if you may not completely agree with all the words of the prayers, these prayers are still a perfect example to help guide you into using the ...more

Another wonderful, faith-building book on selections in the Psalms and examples of praying these Psalms back to our God and Father. Lynnda is able to lead us through various Psalms while introducing fresh and relevant ways to reflect these psalms as heartfelt prayers. Reading through this book reinforces how very relevant and in-tuned God's word is for the people of today. Many of the prayers covered subjects and heartaches that I have seen and experienced first hand. This book would be great wh ...more

I found Words of Power, Echoes of Praise to be well-formatted for daily devotional reading. I liked having the verses on the left and prayer on the right - great for one-handed reading with a cup of coffee or tea. While not every prayer was completely applicable to me, I could usually find something to identify with, so I didn't ever feel like I couldn't "use" the message. It was a great way to start my day in God's word and to focus on how to make my prayer life more sincere and disciplined.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading her last book Changing me, Change the world. The book was very uplifting, and inspiring. The books Lynnda Ell, writes are easy to read, and once you're finished you can read them again. This book Words of Power, Echoes of Praise is a sequel to her last book. This author brings the Psalms to "life" with her inspiring stories. When I read her books you can "feel" Gods presence in each page. She is an amazing writer!!

This is the second book of Lynnda Elle's I have read, and found many of the prayers uplifting and inspiring. She relates the Psalms to modern-day problems, bringing them into a different light. This is a wonderful devotional book, and a great companion to her first one, Changing Me, Change the World: Prayers from the Psalms, Book I

Interesting premise for a book. I liked that the prayers/reflections often referred to the new testament since the Psalms are old testament. Wasn't a huge fan of a lot of the prayers, but liked how the Psalms were presented.
