The fake-engagement often seems a bit contrived to me, but this time around the heroine had a good reason to go along with it. Mitch walks along in the same circles as the father she never knew, and she longs for a chance to get to know him. She figures she only needs someone to introduce her, and faking as Mitch's fiancee would serve nicely at that.

Found this book while hanging out in The Crabbe Reader. Quick read and could not put it down. Great story. I'm looking to read other Emilie Rose books to see if they are as good as this one.
