#2 in Glenbrooke Series.
Teri Moreno is back in Hawaii visiting her sister & brother-in-law, hoping to rekindle a romance with Mark, a marine biologist, whom she met last year.
She also meets Scott, the handsome guy from high school. Then there's the klutzy Australian soon-to-be Pastor with a heart of compassion.
Which guys embrace Teri's heart with only 1 arm...& who embraces it with 2?

Loved this installment of the Glenbrooke series. This one follows Teri back to Hawaii for a summer with her sister and a chance to rekindle her blossoming romance with Mark. But the summer brings three men into Teri's life, and she learns to trust God with the big decisions.
Excellent book! I loved this one. I read it in one sitting. Even though it was written more than a decade ago, it felt very current. Teri is such a sweet, lovable character, I couldn't help but root for her throughout.

There are loads of reasons why I shouldn't like this book, much less love it. The narration tends toward exposition, the supporting cast is two-dimensional, and the love triangle so clearly weighted from the beginning as to be laughable. There's little tension, and the story is forgettable, and to be honest, I could do without the Christian=good, non-Christian=bad subtext.
But in spite of all this - perhaps because I first read Whispers when I was twelve, perhaps because I formed an immediate att...more

After reading the first book in the Glenbrooke Series (Secrets), I was anxious to read the second and with good reason! Just like Robing Jones Gunn made the fictional town in Oregon come to life in Secrets, she made me feel like I was in Hawaii enjoying the smells and local flavor of life.
The romantic twists and turns of Teri’s time on the island with the wonderful characters that wre so vivid and lifelike from her words had me smiling, angry, sad and about twenty other emotions.

This was better than the first book, but obviously the first book insprired this one, as the main character in this book is a secondary character in the first. You wouldnt need to read the first to understand the second. I liked it, but I also like to read books that are based in Hawaii! Nice warm weather, a love story, could you go wrong? Maybe, but this I would recommend.
I absolutely adored this book! She struggles throughout the book thinking she knows who might be the right person and doesn't give up her morals when the opportunity presents itself. It was very clean and Christian, sure some parts were kind of cheesy but I couldn't help to be so ecstatic when she made her pick. Really enjoyed this book. :)
Good book! I can't wait to read the other books, I liked how even though Chirsty Miller and the Glenbrooke series are two totally different series they still have/mention Christy characters in it... Teri, remeber her from Christy's cheerleading team? She is the main character in this book and they talk about Rick Doyle... Good book. :)
