I really likes this book. It was a good addition to the Out of Time series and it was good to see Simon and Elizabeth again.
This book brings us a few months past the last book and Elizabeth and Simon are doing fine, but you can immediately sense an undercurrent of tension. You find out why soon and that fight cause a rift in their relationship that ends with Elizabeth going into the past on her own.

I was really looking forward to this sequel to Out of Time. OoT was one of my favorite reads this year. I was quite taken with Elizabeth and Simon and their time-traveling adventures in the first book. I liked that OoT had a paranormal (albeit a little silly)twist to the romance and adventure, and I expected the same in When the Walls Fell.
WtWF is romantic-- but I felt that romance didn't really progress from the first book. The declaration of love was in Out; in When... we have an abundance of...more

read this book last year, but just re read it because the third in the series was released. I was not leaving reviews last year so thought I would add one now. Upon rereading I relised how simply lovely this series is (apart from the wierd King in the first book, thankfully his kind do not appear in this one or the next). This time around Elizabeth and Simon travel back in time to San Fransisco. Without giving away anything basically mishaps and misunderstandings occur, but ultimately a wonderf...more
In When the Walls Fell they go back in time to 1906 San Francisco, CA days before the great earthquake to save Simon from possibly never existing. I’ve never been to California, and to be honest the most I know about their history is what I’ve watched in Briscoe County Jr., but I thought Monique did a good job of describing the environment and fashion. The romance between Simon and Elizabeth was just as intense and beautiful as before and the mystery kept me guessing. I liked that she has the ch...more
The sequel to "Out of Time", another fun time travel book. This one took place in turn-of-the-century San Fransisco, not long after the gold rush when San Fran was a booming, filthy rich, lavish town.
This one was quite short, did not take me long to read. Her writing seems to be pretty fast paced-which I enjoy. And the story was quite thrilling, and kept you wondering what was going to happen next.

I'd give it a six if I could.
First let me say that I thought Out of Time was a great book. When the Walls Fell is even better. Honestly.
Even though we got to spend a lot of time with Elizabeth in OoT, I feel like this book showed us her character even more. Loved the time period, loved the supporting cast, loved the train of surprise that ran over me on a couple of occasions; I loved it all.
Even the smallest of characters were given enough life that I can still see their image in my mind. Ms. Ma...more

I'm not sure how this book got on my Kindle, but I'm glad it did! I haven't read the first book in the series, but I felt comfortable meeting the characters here for the first time. There was just enough of the back story to let me know what was going on and not feel like an outsider. I found the writing compelling and the story well paced. I enjoyed the plot twists and turns and was pleased that the main character was able to engage her brain to solve problems that would baffle many. Looking fo...more
Wow! This sequel really sucks you into the vortex of time travel. Things are rocky with Simon and Elizabeth. Real life has made them have to deal with the reality of building a relationship. At the start, things seem rocky. But a new problem brought up by the Council has them traveling back in time to Victorian/Edwardian San Francisco. When else, but just before the 1906 earthquake.

I really like this series. So far this one was better than the first one. (Out of Time) regardless I really like both Elizabeth and Simon. Simon reminds me of The Doctor (several different versions of him) so he is most definitely a great hero. I think he showed definite growth in this book. I really liked Teddy's character in this one and Elizabeth and all her pop culture references crack me up. An easy light and entertaining read. I look forward to reading the rest in the series so far with an...more
Thoroughly enjoyed this follow up to Out of Time. This time sees Elizabeth travelling back to 1907 San Franscisco barely a week before the big earthquake hits; following on behind her Simon settles in to finding her and helping her out of whatever trouble she's got herself into this time:) There were some really good characters here and some that became hardly more than a cypher, Mary Graham was one as was Stryker. However, this didn't detract from my enjoyment of the book, and I will look out f...more

We catch up with Simon and Elizabeth a few months after they return from New York where they are semi-living with each other and very much in love. Once again they will be transported back in time, this time to San Francisco a few days before the great earthquake. Charged with the deed of preventing the death of a member of the council, Simon and Elizabeth once again meet a number of colorful characters and get into and out of trouble.

Ok, this was the sequel to Out of Time (they were both free kindle books). As with the last book, the ending was just way too abrupt. The questions I had from the previous book are never addressed and the same thing happens with this one. As a free read about time travel, it is actually pretty fun - it is set in the time leading up to the San Francisco earthquake. Just expect to think "but what happened to everyone else??" at the end of this book also.
This exciting sequel to Out of Time continues the time traveling romance of Simon and Elizabeth in 1906 San Francisco. Just days before the great quake, they must find and prevent the murder of a man that might cause Simon never to be born. Well written and a page turner! Can't wait to read the next installment of this great series!
The second book in the Out of Time series sees Simon and Elizabeth travel back to turn of the century San Fransico to prevent a murder that could undo everything they know about time travel.
This book was just as interesting as the first; I still picture Simon being played by Liam Neeson which adds a whole nother level to the story. While the ending did feel a bit rushed, I didn't feel that it took anything away from the story.
Can't wait to see what will happen next.

WOW! I read the first Out of Time book extremely quickly. Its such a gripping story. And the second one didn't disappoint! We rejoin Simon and Elizabeth in their story as they travel to 1906. Lots of adventure, discovering fakes and fun to be had in this book. I can not wait for the next one highly recommend this series.
