Four escaped convicts in spacesuits drift through the void in search of a habitable planet to land on. The oldest of the four, Dunbar, leads the way, informing the others that he knows the destination of a paradise planet.

Can the others believe him? Russell is not so sure, becoming increasingly convinced 'that old Dunbar was as crazy as a Jovian juke-bird.' An ironic and entirely obvious ending is duly promised and delivered.
