Astrology is one of my 'guilty pleasures', I must admit. I'm a very down-to-earth person usually, but I like reading about star signs, finding out about horoscopes etc. This is a fun reading, but in fact, on the Internet there's almost everything you can find here.
I have been studying Astrology on and off for over twenty years. I have a solid functioning knowledge of Western Astrology but as with anything I am no expert.

I love the 'For Dummies' series because the titles offer information for anyone including a person well versed on a particular subject.

The book reads well, moves fluidly through the process of Western Astrology, explains in layman's terms the basic concepts and dictates of Western Astrology and will have you casting charts and interpretin...more
I've never read nearly four hundred pages for half a week, so that's a statement on its own. This is a great book for beginners as well as a little more experienced aspiring-to-be-astrologers, like myself.
It has every string of the grand picture that you need to be aware of, the thing it lacks is descriptive length, but that's absolutely fine, since if you need specific information about a sign/planet/house/aspect/transit/etc, you can find it easily online. Overall a great one, well worth my mo...more
Not quite what I was hoping for bit a good basic starter for astrology. I was looking for something a little less horoscope style focused.
Good reference - perhaps a bad one for drawing your own chart, but still the absolute basics are here, and great for someone that really has no desire to draw their own chart.
great book. Lots of info for novices at Astrology. Even though I've been into Astrology for a lonnnng time, this gave me some info I didn't know about. It's fun and interesting
Great for beginners. Really breaks down many basic aspects of astrology.
Es una buena introducción al tema, muy util para quienes se inician.

“At your happiest and best, you’re a free spirit, a cheerful wanderer, an honest and intelligent companion, and a philosopher who likes to ponder the big questions — preferably with a few pals and a plentiful supply of snacks. You see life as an ongoing quest for experience and wisdom, not as a search for security.” 0 likes
“In your eternal quest for experience and knowledge, you pursue a multitude of interests and you set ambitious, wide-ranging goals for yourself. You want to see the world and understand it, which is why your sign rules travel, philosophy, religion, law, and abstractions of all kinds. Sagittarius is freethinking, casual, open-minded, and optimistic. You connect easily with all kinds of people and are said to be lucky. The truth is that your spontaneous decisions and out-there gambles occasionally pay off, but what benefits you the most is your fearless attitude. Sure, troubles may come. No one is immune to that. But ultimately, buoyed by your curiosity and belief in the future, you bounce back. You look at it this way: What other choice is there?” 0 likes
