After reading books after books over the past few weeks, I felt like I needed a break to read something short, fun and easy. Wow, I am not sure what to say about this second book in "The Vampire Hunter's Daughter" Series. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed it; but, I expected it to be a book and not another novella. Just as I was really getting into the story, it was over leaving me to say, "Huh?"
Chloe has been living with her Grandpa Luke and trying to adjust to her new life among the vampire hunters. She runs every morning, showers, goes to school and then trains after school for two hours. After being handed her butt day...more

I had read Part 2 of Vampire hunter's daughter before it came out Thanks to the wonderful Jennifer Malone Wright. In the first story Chloe mother is killed by vampires and Chloe is sent to live with her grandfather who she never knew. Chloe learns her father is a vampire and she is from a line of vampire hunters. Part 2 takes place with Chloe already living with her grandfather and is in training with Drew to be a vampire hunter but with it being winter and xmas is coming Chloe is allowed to hav...more

Chloe has started to grow on me, though I am still a little put off by the "purely evil" nature of the vampires. (Religious thing, see my review of the first book here.) I do wish that these book were just a little longer so that we could see more of Drew and Chloe and Luke and well, everybody.
Still, I have downloaded the third novella and am enjoying it greatly! I like how Miss Jennifer incorporated all kinds of mythology, not just vampires. Too often we see writers that...more

Chloe continues on with her training, letting revenge fuel her, as she readies herself for taking down her father, Trevor.
Chloe is trying to fit into her new surroundings and new school, as well as trying to learn all she can about being a Vampire Hunter and their enemy. She spends many hours training or going to the library to study...not only about vampires, but also about those just like her.

I decided to do a review on all three of these books, as they are only small novellas and I read them one after another in one sitting.
I first heard about this series from a few of my friends on Goodreads and decided to check them out on Amazon, seeing how cheap they were I went ahead and bought them.
I got sucked into the story right away, and like I said I read them all back to back! All three books are captivating and well written. The main character Chloe does seem very mature for her age, I...more

hea y'all Anne here and what an amazing series this is to read. It's like watching a tv show, you get a little at a time and it's always just enough to keep you coming back to see what is in store for our young heroine Chloe. Chloe has not had an easy time the last few months, her life has taken a dramatic turn and now she must deal with the present problems in order to solve a future issue she sets up for herself. The character Chloe is still very young and craves the innocent little joys of li...more

I am so sad that I have had this book for over a year and it just sat in my Kindle, sadly, waiting for me to open it and read it.
Gah! I am such a crazy person sometimes.
I hate it when I have no idea that a wonderful series is just sitting there, waiting for me to get my act together and start it.
I am so glad that the author nudged me into starting it. If I hadn't who knows how long it would have sat there and I would have been missing out.

And the series of The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter continues with book 2, POWERFUL BLOOD….
This review is going to be on the real short side, and I apologize for that, but I promise there is more to come right after this one. Thanks so much Author Jennifer Malone Wright once again for this fantastic opportunity to read for review this amazing series!!!
Chloe comes from the blood of angels, demi-gods and in her special case, a vampire…. Her blood is that which comes from the Original Vampire Hunters,...more

Although shorter than I would have liked, this is still an excellent read.

I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review.
High five to Jennifer Malone Wright for another easy to read short story. In this instalment we learn some background information about the vampire hunters. Some very interesting information that was rather shocking if I do say so myself. Despite this being a short story, it was packed with emotion. The only downside was I did find it a little toned down from book one. But no the less still a great read. Obviously I will...more

Part II continues the story of Chloe as she struggles to deal with her new life. I loved Part I and Part II further drew me into the series. The angst of a young woman is captured fantastically within the pages, as any woman knows, adjusting to change is not always an easy feat, especially when it is change that was not expected. Though short in length there is a lot of emotion and depth to the characters that is sometimes not even seen in full length novels. I would recommend the series highly...more
I enjoyed reading part 2 of The Vampire Hunter's Daughter. I would like to thank the author for providing me with a free copy of the book. There are some mistakes that can easily be fixed. I wished the scene at school and the one with the vampire encounter would have been longer (especially the vampire scene).
What I loved about part 2 was getting to know more about Chloe's family tree and about the vampires. I definitely want to know more about Drew. Hopefully in the following books. Can't wait...more

14 yr old....sorry..now its 15 yr old Chloe has finally begun her training as a vampire hunter. Drew is her teacher and let me tell you, I smell a love triangle coming...great. lol. Also she learns more about how vampire hunters became to be and that she has angel, demigod and vampire blood in her.
Even though shes older now, in this story Chloe seems more immature than she was in the first story. She seems to randomly swear more and when she gets in her first vampire fight what does she do? Go a...more

Mind blowing, beautiful and powerful!!!
We pick the story up 2 months after part I finished off. I found this to flow really well as it helped the story move forward and not drag on.
Chloe’s Vampire Hunting training has begun. She’s living with her Grandfather, Luke and Drew, who is a family friend and the one she’s training with.
There is still so much that Chloe doesn’t know about vampires and hunters. Her ancestory is revealed to her and from this revelation she learns she could possibly be a...more

The second part of this series was great :) Again, I wish we'd been able to get a bit more character development, but that aspect of it was betting in this installment. I loved that when Chloe sees the vampire in the parking lot, she sits in the truck and screams. I was waiting for that burst of superpower or courage that a lot of writers would have thrown in. This was much more beleivable. I can't wait for the third story to see what happens next.
Part II sees Chloe adjusting with her new life as a vampire hunter in training. She is learning about her lineage and how to fight. And just trying to fit in… I don’t know what else to say without giving out the story so this shall be all you get :P
I liked how the series seems to progress in this installment. I loved the little bits from the library books. Also I think I like the writing style a little better in this one. Overall a good read! :)

Second short story part in a five part series I believe. Really enjoy these ebooks. Wish they would have put all the ebooks together, and release it as a whole book. I believe it would have done really week in book form. Again only about 46 pages, which can drive you crazy sometimes. But the way they are writing, you find your self buy the next ebook as soon as your done. A well recommended, easy, short read. ~ENJOY!
This is part 2 of Vampire Hunter´s Daughter..
I had to give it one less star. Since I absolutly loved the first one. Which drew me in at once.
This one was also really good. But though a lack of action.
So not as much going on. Therefor it only gets about 3,5 out of 6 stars.
But I am still looking forward to reading the next book.
Wish this was a whole book instead of small novellas/parts.

"This whole series is TERRIFIC! A great read hands down!! I was hooked (line & sinker) after the very first one! I began with the Part I (free version) & immediately went to purchase Part II-V. Then I was totally bummed to see part VI was not yet released. Eagerly awaiting the release I found myself needing a Wright fix, so back to search I went. I about jumped for joy to see her novel The Birth of Jaiden! It's a must read as well!! She brings such life into her characters & builds t...more
I liked Part 2 of this series of short stories better than Part 1. In the beginning of the story, we learn that Chloe is already training to become a vampire hunter. We also become better acquainted with the characters and begin to see her bonding with these people, who she has only just met. In Part 2, we also begin to learn more about the myths and legends surrounding vampire hunters. Overall, this was a great short story. If you enjoyed the first one, you’ll like this one, too.
though this one was better than the first one by a great deal, there were still some of the same persistant problems with dialogue and grammar. I still felt that it was being told, and there doesn't seem to be much in the way of connection with the character. I liked the mythology, but it could have done with more detail and being worked into the story better.
We see a little more of Chloe changing and accepting her new role as vampire hunter, though she worries she isn't tough enough yet. She is still quite emotional over her recent loss, lashes out at school, cries easily when in certain situations, but is determined to toughen up and get stronger.
I enjoy the fact that Chloe loved the library in her community and uses it to research both vampires and hunters. I love bookish characters! She learns about her heritage and what the hunters really are.

These are incredibly short stories. Not even all three parts together made hundred pages on my nook. The story is light and easy, and a breeze to slide through. I like the plot and characters, but see potential in this author. Look forward to seeing what she will have in the future, and hope to see a slightly longer story.

I am really loving these little novels! This one is about school fights, high school drama, and poor Chloe is still trying to fit in!! Great little story, very well written and very fast paced!! Keep up the good work, Jennifer!!
