Single mom Lauren Alexander has struggled the last six years to raise her daughter. She doesn't regret anything about choosing to keep her child except the estrangement from her parents. But her daughter's Christmas wish for a father makes her doubt herself. For most of his life, Kyle Preston distrusted the notions of family and unconditional love. Fortunately, his foster parents never gave up on him. With their help he grew into a man that he hopes makes them proud--a man that believes in givin More...

So the main female (already forgot her name) has no personality outside having fits of idiotic bravado and love for her daughter. That's it. She spends half the book dwelling on her one foolish mistake that led to her daughter, so of course, she is still pure and innocent and fit to be our protagonist, upon which we all shall project ourselves for the coming book.

Our hero, whose name is also forgotten, has had past liaisons, fortunately so he is experienced enough to give pleasure to More...

Lauren Alexander has spent the past six years raising her daughter Kristen on her own. Her parents would not support her after she backed out of an adoption for Kristen and decided to keep her. After six years on her own Lauren has built a wall up around herself and has promised herself never to trust a man again.

One night a few weeks before Christmas Kyle Preston is playing Santa at the mall when Kristen sits on his lap and asks for a daddy. Kyle is charmed by Kristen right the More...

Giving this book three stars is generous and is strictly because I liked the characters so much. The idea of a child wanting a parent and conspiring to get one has been done and re-done. This book steps away from that a bit, leaving the child in the story, but past the original letter not using her too much. I think more could have been made of the conflict between the main character, Lauren, and her parents. Loved the character of Kyle. He saved the story for me. But again, I think their relati More...

Santa Claus has a tough job this year!

Lauren Alexander has raised her daughter, Kristen, all by herself since the day she was born. Despite being thrown out by her family for the decision to keep her baby, she's done a pretty good job so far. But after her daughter asks Santa for a daddy for Christmas she starts to wonder if maybe she didn't do so great after all.

Kyle Preston, successful real estate developer and occasional Santa Claus at the mall, decides he might be abl More...

Sometimes fate needs a little hand…

Santa Claus is going to have a rough season... Lauren Alexander is raising her daughter alone. Abandoned by her family for her decision to keep her daughter Kristen, she has done a pretty good job for the last six years. Or she thought she had. That's why she is crushed when little Kristen gives up her wish for a toy or goodie and instead asks Santa for a present for her mother. She wants Santa to bring a Daddy. D More...

Abandoned by her family, Lauren Alexander has raised her daughter own her own for six years. Times are tough, but Lauren has provided a stable and loving life for Kristen. This Christmas, Kristen wants one thing for Christmas: a daddy. Lauren isn’t ready to get into a relationship just to give her daughter a father she desperately wants. A fun, light love story. Centered during the few weeks leading up to Christmas, this is a cute twist on the classic love-at-first-sight story.

Six-year old Kristen Alexander asks Santa for a daddy for Christmas. Kyle Preston, owner of mall and Santa stand-in, takes note of Kristen's mom, Lauren, standing off to the side. Her bad luck (her car battery is dead after leaving her lights on) when leaving the mall turns into his (well, ultimately, their) good fortune. He helps her with her c More...

I loved it but Lauren's apathy towards men was getting a little old and I wanted to knock some sense into her for being so hard, selfish and incredulous towards a love like Kyles. Kyle Preston was one hell of a guy and if Lauren was too stubborn to see that , then she didn't deserve him but fortunately for her , his persistence and hard work pays off when he planned to fulfill Kristen's desire of wanting a daddy for her mommy .

Kyle Preston had money, charm and persuasion. He dreamed More...

There was nothing unique to the story, just a short, sweet little romance that seemed to developed naturally as two likable and well-developed characters cleaned the emotional garbage out of their hearts to enable them to have a fresh chance at life and love. Fortunately, the author didn't impose a bunch of stupid misunderstandings and blowups and breakups that make sense to nobody , so this was just a short, sweet little romance with no idiotic nonsense to ruin the natural flow and developmen More...

I have always been such a sucker for a good m/f romance. I have gotten away from them lately. I am so glad that I found this book.

I had every intention of giving it 4 stars and then I got to the ending. Being the total sap that I am, I found my eyes tearing up (that rarely happens) over the way everything came together. Any book that will have me in tears (in a good way) is a good one. And the ending was just perfect. It wasn't too rushed and there was nothing unresolved. Everyt More...

Wow, Lauren had no help raising her daugter, Kristen, from a baby. Her parents had let her leave but did not help through the year. She had struggled to give Kristen what she had.
She wanted to be an architect but becoming pregnant changed her plans.
She met Kyle and her life changed.
For Christmas, Kyle thought having Lauren's parents around would help her. He had been adopted himself at 18, by some special people, and knew having her parents around would complete her feelings More...

My 200th book of 2011 and I couldn't have picked a better book to read.

In this wonderful Christmas tale, single mother Lauren Alexander has always done her best to provide for herself and daughter Kristen. Being kicked out at 18 when she decided to keep her baby, Lauren has never known anyone to stick with her through thick and thin.

Until now....

Enter Kyle Preston who's world gets turned upside down while playing Santa at the mall when a beautiful six year old girl More...

If you're in the mood for a very sweet Christmas story that doesn't require (any) brain, this is your read.

Meh & Saccharine - those were my thoughts when I finished.

I wasn't particularly looking for sickeningly sweet, but even so, there's very little that's not formulaic about this story. I appreciate that the author took the time to edit (so there's no disappearing/re-appearing whatever, or a lot of typos that jar you back into reality), and the writing is good (not More...

Actually 3 1/2 stars. But there is no half! LOL! Sweet Christmas story! One of the FREE ones for my kindle.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, Kyle! ~Sigh!~ LOVE Lauren and little Kristen's introduction to Kyle!Lauren got a little irritating with her OVER independence! Not wanting ANY HELP whatsover from this AMAZING guy! (Kyle.) There was sex but it wasn't blatant, or explicit, (meaning more porn, than romance!)Which I liked! And which is one of the MANY things I like about Kristan Higgins too (sex More...

I enjoyed this read a lot. Christmas is the time for the unthinkable. In this story that is what they find. All she want’s for Christmas is a Daddy and Lauren is worried for her self and her daughter, when it comes to Santa, yes you herd right Santa. Kyle has word hard to get where he is but when he sees Lauren all starts to change in his life and he can’t see life with out her or her daughter.
I simply fall in love with this story. I hope you do too if you read it!

Was looking for a quick Christmas read, not only did I find a quick read but a very heart-touching story. Kyle Preston and Lauren had trust issues for various reason. Kyles go back to childhood, Lauren's to a mistake she made as a teenager. Can these two very giving giving adults learn to love and trust again? The secondary characters give the story the right touches. Krissy and Julie speak straight from the heart. A free Kindle book, one of the best. Thanks Lisa and Kindle.

When a six year old little girl tells Santa Claus that all she wants for Christmas is a daddy so that her mummy doesn’t have to work so much – you kind of know where the story is going. Both main characters, Lauren and Kyle have trust issues and have to overcome their fears of abandonment to realise that not all people are bad and are going to leave them.

I loved this book and rarely give a book 5 stars. Rarely have I enjoyed a Christmas romance. This one was such an enjoyable read. I will definitely read more by Lisa Mondello in the future. Although I think, she is a Christian author (she has been published by Steeple Chase which I think markets Christian books), there is no mention of God or any other Christian aspects of Christmas (not that I would have minded if it did), there are also no actual sex scenes. I find that refreshing and a r More...

I downloaded this book for free from Amazon, but I'm glad I did. It's like one of those guilty pleasure holiday movies on Lifetime or Hallmark. I am a sucker for those types of "feel good" stories and movies. I really enjoyed this book. It was predictable yes, but very sweet. It's definitely a guilty pleasure type book if you are as much of a sucker for those types of stories/movies as I am.

This was a very sweet Christmas love story that could only be told in "Romancelandia" as my friends like to say. LOL
The Hero is perfect, falls in love almost immediately and comes swooping in to save the day and make a little girl's Christmas wish come true.
This is perfect for anyone looking for a quick holiday fairy tale with a little bit of spice (PG). :)

Cute, quick and easy Christmas story wherein a little girl asks Santa for a daddy. And wouldn't you know it, Santa is a good-looking single guy who happens to find the little girl's mommy irresistible and wants to make all their Christmas wishes come true. Another cute and fun Christmas book to add to my holiday reading marathon.

All I Want For Christmas Is You by Lisa Mondello

This is a very sweet and romantic holiday story. Kyle is a wonderful hero who longs for a family of his own. Lauren and her daughter Kristen have fallen on hard times, and need a miracle. I adore stories that focus on family as a holiday theme, and this book fits the bill. This is a traditional holiday tale.

So, I'm still in my reading frenzy, thanks to no Internet, but my reading challenge as got off to a good start. I really enjoyed this fluffy Christmas read. Reminded me very much of a Marie Force book - Maid in Love. It was a quick read that was fully of romance and Christmas spirit. Perfect!

Main character, Lauren, is estranged from her family and has been since the birth of her daughter, Kristen. All Kristen wants for Christmas is a daddy. They meet Kyle, who was playing Santa. Typical Kyle fashion, he likes to rescue people and things. He rescues Lauren, invites her into the family and then they fall in love and end up engaged.

A very quick read full of Christmas and a bit of quick-found love.

I picked this book for the Romance Readers December Monthly Challenge and finished it in a few hours, way before December 1 even arrived

I recommend this as a good holiday story for a quiet, snowy day next to the fire.

I would have given this book a 3 maybe even a 4 as it had a good storyline. But the author included 2 separate intimate episodes that I felt weren't necessary to the plot and took away from Lauren's emphasis on placing her daughter's needs before her own.
