4 ½ stars – Contemporary Romance
I really enjoyed this, and it’s definitely an improvement over the last couple of books in the series. Nolan and Eve were a lot of fun together and their romance was engaging and steamy. I loved the snappy dialogue and funny banter between all the characters. Nolan and Eve’s Oktoberfest outing was fantastic...one of the best date scenes that I’ve read.

First can i say a HUGE THANK YOU to Erin McCarthy for giving me the chance to win this ARC!! I LOVED this story and the hottie on the cover was PERFECT in helping me visualise Nolan... *drool*.
What can i say... Nolan is such a sweetie, he's the only one who seems to understand Evie and doesn't IMMEDIATELY classify her as a ball-busting b***h. Its was nice to see Evie start to learn to let loose, let her hair down and figure out that it was time to stop trying to please everyone else and do somet...more

Then they were in.
So they made out.
Nolan hadn't spent this much time in a frantic lip-lock with a girl since high school. He'd forgotten how exciting it was to just kiss and not skip straight to the good stuff. Kissing his wife had that same feeling as kissing his girlfriend back in the day had. It was worshipful, awed, desperate, wanting more, yet at the same time, wanting t

This was a quick read by the pool. I loved this series and based on the lack of a teaser about the next in the series, it sounds like the author may not continue with it. We get a bit of a Rhett tease, but we are not given enough to really warm to him, so not sure what she'll do. She has a book blurb in the back for a "ghost" story. Read it and won't buy it. Ugh... What is it with the whole "Ghost an Mrs. Muir" thing everyone tries. Yuck... [coming off of Kristen Ashley's "Lacybourne Mano...more

Definitely a fun book. Eve has been a supporting character in the previous books, where we see her mainly as the uptight grouch who is constantly raining on everyone's parade. This one starts out with Eve chewing out Nolan because of his wardrobe malfunction. As the team PR person, Eve is the one who gets stuck dealing with problems like this and she really hates it. Nolan is listening to her but refuses to see it as a problem. All he can think about is how cute he thinks she is. I really liked...more
6th book in the Fast Track series and Eve finally gets her shot. I really enjoyed this book, more so than the last couple of books. Eve is a worrier. A big worrier over everything. She's also a stressed out PR rep for her two car-racer brothers, a job she hates. Nolan is a jackman for one of her brothers and the complete opposite of Eve in temperament. He's laid-back, not easily agitated and definetely not much of a worrier. I know a lot of people found Eve annoying, and I agree, she is sometimes...more

Sixth in the Fast Track romance series revolving around a group of race car drivers and their friends and families. The couple focus is on Eve Monroe and Nolan Ford.
My Take
This was a fun if slightly uncomfortable read with the uncomfortable due to Eve's personality and the different perspective we get. I do wish McCarthy had gone a little deeper with Nolan's discomfort with Eve's higher income. Although, she did find an easy out with Eve's eventual choice at the end. It certainly solved a cause...more

Remember the first few books in this series before it seemed to get a lot hotter and have less relationship-focus time?
Well, Erin McCarthy has gotten back to that! Don't get me wrong, the book is still hot. The hero is amazing and is the only man who could probably handle Eve.
It was a great book. I'll admit I almost didn't read it and waited until a girlfriend read it to dash out to the store.

it's only been two weeks, baby cupcake. Yet i've fallen in love with you...
Jacked up is a more comedic, Vegas style Dear John. The romance between Nolan and Eve are in the span of only 2 weeks-ish! But those 2 weeks have been very adorable, i should say.

Just to clear it up, him above is not Nolan

This is the first time I write a review before I'm done with a book, and that is not a good thing. I'm about 2/3 through and hope I can make myself finish it. It is past the point of no return for me and I know that regardless of the ending, this will not change.
Let me start off by saying that I really like Erin McCarthy, but I cannot stand Eve. This story makes no sense to me. I understand wanting to create obstacles and difficulties that they have to overcome to be together, but this is ridic...more

Jacked Up is the long awaited story of Eve Monroe – the PR representative for the sexy drivers Elec and Evan Monroe. Keeping her brother's in check has always been a challenge and has taken her away from focusing on herself and what she truly wants out of life.

You know when a series becomes successful, it becomes kind of never ending and maybe people think it is successful so let us give the readers what they want, the content and quality be damned, that is exactly what happened with this series. I am not questioning how good a writer Erin McCarthy is, because I really like her books but I have not been blind to the flaws in her recent books

In this last installment of the Fast Track series Eve Monroe sister to Evan & Elec and their tough as nails PR rep gets her man. Eve is going on 33 and is one big ball of stress. Her latest problem is the viral video of Evans jackman Ford Nolan’s ass (sans underwear) hanging out of a split in his firesuit while performing in the pits. Eve and Ford are opposites. She is all about doing her job and while he takes his work seriously he knows that life is meant to be enjoyed. He is intrigued by...more
That was just wonderful! I adored Nolan! He was so sweet and wonderful and hot... Eve was great too. I think we all have some of her insecurities and probably bitchy tendencies too. So to see her let loose a little and have a little fun was just a joy. The humor in this book was the best part, well next to the awesome love story! It was wonderful and I loved it - and I want more!

What a pity this is the last book in these series. I enjoyed this book again very much. The headpersons in this book are strongly written and it is nice to see a different side of Eve. I already knew her from the other books, but in this book we see another side of Eve next to her business side. You don’t have to read the other books in this series, because this book is on itself. But I do recommend reading them, because they are as good and fast as this book.

First of all, this is the last book in this series. Eve has made an appearance in all the others & her personality has been the same - bitchy, high strung, wound tight, ect. She did not change her personality in this book. What changes is the right man enters her life & softens her up. They fall in love.
Erin McCarthy is the queen of playful banter. That is evident in this book. That's what makes this book work for me. She takes a bitch & turns her into someone I can relate to ( :)...more

I really wanted to like this book. The chemistry between the hero and heroine was immediate and their verbal sparring was fun to read. But this story was just plain over-plotted. Too many crazy circumstances for this already crazy couple turned this into a really un-fun ride to be on. I just wish the book had been about the progression of the relationship instead of the weird stuff that was thrown at them. The heroine really was prickly too, which took some time to overcome. I have a special pla...more

I was excited to get started on the next installment of the Fast Track series because the story is about a jack man instead of a driver. Also, it was about time Eve saw some action. And that cover, just so yummy.

I was lucky enough to get a copy of this book a few days early at a book signing and I was so excited to read it. The last book in the series is about Evan and Elec's sister Eve and a tasty jackman. Eve gives a whole new meaning to the word "uptight", while Nolan is nothing but funloving. Opposites attract. I love Erin's style of writing and I am really going to miss this series. Usually after 3 in a series I start to get bored with the concept, but I have loved the last three just as much as th...more
Who ever thought something like a man ripping his pants and bearing his delicious rear end to millions of people would lead to something like love?? Well, that's the story of how Eve got jackman, Nolan Ford...
What started as an argument of Eve yelling to Nolan to wear underwear... (awkward), ended in Nolan asking her on a date. The rest is history!
As far as the characters go, Eve was actually pretty difficult to like because she was so difficult... yes, I do realize that was intentional. Nolan,
I was truly looking forward to this book. The snarky sister, Eve, was finally getting her book. Well I could have waited. I'm not sure if this book lacked something because it's the last of the siblings, or maybe McCarthy thought she needed to give a book so here! Whatever the reason, Eve was done a disservice.
Throughout the book Eve is presented as a bitter, immature, uptight chick. She's bitter because her brothers got to drive but she was discouraged. Point of fact, Eve never tells exactly ho...more

The first chapter in this book started out really funny and I was all set to love this one as much as the last 5 books but it didn't turn out that way.
Initially Nolan and Eve are attracted to each other physically and Nolan is intrigued by Eve thinking there is depth behind the bitchiness everyone else sees. But the further I got into the book, Eve just seemed bitchy - full stop. There was no depth behind it other than she was unhappy with her life and not doing anything to change it. And for so...more

Book Six? That many already? Hard to believe but I've certainly read all of them.
Erin McCarthy has the ability to take the bitchiest of heroines and make you like them. Let there be no mistake, Eve Monroe is about as bitchy of a heroine as anyone could stand. And yet we can all sympathize with her as the book progresses. I liked the banter. I liked the sex. I liked the story.

I like these strong but sweet men McCarthy writes about :) Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my hot alpha males, but it's kind of refreshing that these men are so nice to the women they love and would do just about anything to make them happy. Glad to see Eve get appreciated by someone finally. At first, I kept thinking there was no way that Nolan could be with her because of the social differences between the two, but I was glad to see that that was barely an obstacle for them. I've been waiting a long time to read this book. I adore this series and I hope Erin Mcarthy just keeps writing it till I die. However, this book wasn't my favorite.
Reading the synopsis made me expect Nolan to be this hard-ass who is tough and macho and nothing like the Nolan in the book. He's funny, dorky, and straight up cheery. Series Note:
Sixth book in Erin McCarthy's NASCAR-centered contemporary romance series. I think you could read this one without having read the others first.
