Jacked Up (Fast Track #6)
Eve Monroe is a stock-car PR pro who puts her career first--until an on-track wardrobe malfunction reveals more than the sexy smile of jackman Nolan Ford. The video's become an internet sensation, and it's Eve's job to calm the sponsors and put a spin on the unexpected exposure.
And they both have the same drive.
It may be a public re...more
I really enjoyed this, and it’s definitely an improvement over the last couple of books in the series. Nolan and Eve were a lot of fun together and their romance was engaging and steamy. I loved the snappy dialogue and funny banter between all the characters. Nolan and Eve’s Oktoberfest outing was fantastic...one of the best date scenes that I’ve read.
Nolan was such a sweet, goofy, playful, easygoing, charming, fun-loving, and all around nice guy and an almost to...more
What can i say... Nolan is such a sweetie, he's the only one who seems to understand Evie and doesn't IMMEDIATELY classify her as a ball-busting b***h. Its was nice to see Evie start to learn to let loose, let her hair down and figure out that it was time to stop trying to please everyone else and do somet...more

Then they were in.
So they made out.
Nolan hadn't spent this much time in a frantic lip-lock with a girl since high school. He'd forgotten how exciting it was to just kiss and not skip straight to the good stuff. Kissing his wife had that same feeling as kissing his girlfriend back in the day had. It was worshipful, awed, desperate, wanting more, yet at the same time, wanting t
This was a quick read by the pool. I loved this series and based on the lack of a teaser about the next in the series, it sounds like the author may not continue with it. We get a bit of a Rhett tease, but we are not given enough to really warm to him, so not sure what she'll do. She has a book blurb in the back for a "ghost" story. Read it and won't buy it. Ugh... What is it with the whole "Ghost an Mrs. Muir" thing everyone tries. Yuck... [coming off of Kristen Ashley's "Lacybourne Mano...more
Favorite line - “He was a glass half full kind of person and she was...what? The glass is going to break before you can even pour kind of person. Yikes."
Favorite Character - Nolan
I have read quite a few books by this author but none in this series previous to this one. It was fine as a stand-a-lone book, i did however wish a wee bit i had read some of the other stories but that was because the other woman seemed nice :)
My favorite things -

This was a fun if slightly uncomfortable read with the uncomfortable due to Eve's personality and the different perspective we get. I do wish McCarthy had gone a little deeper with Nolan's discomfort with Eve's higher income. Although, she did find an easy out with Eve's eventual choice at the end. It certainly solved a cause...more
Well, Erin McCarthy has gotten back to that! Don't get me wrong, the book is still hot. The hero is amazing and is the only man who could probably handle Eve.
It was a great book. I'll admit I almost didn't read it and waited until a girlfriend read it to dash out to the store.
So, Nolan is on Evan's (Eve's brother) pit crew when an unfortunate pants-splitting-no-underwear situat...more
Jacked up is a more comedic, Vegas style Dear John. The romance between Nolan and Eve are in the span of only 2 weeks-ish! But those 2 weeks have been very adorable, i should say.
Just to clear it up, him above is not Nolan
Nolan, oh Nolan~ is my dream teenage crush, [if his age younger :)] a carefree, happy guy topped with fudge triple ice cream in a hot summer day. He love his family and have a hot damn sizzling body!
Let me start off by saying that I really like Erin McCarthy, but I cannot stand Eve. This story makes no sense to me. I understand wanting to create obstacles and difficulties that they have to overcome to be together, but this is ridic...more
That all changes when she has to reprimand Nolan Ford, Evan's jackman for showing his butt whilst changing a tyre and the footage goes viral. It isn't just the hot smoking but that is in jeopardy but Eve's heart as she slowly becomes more...more
You know when a series becomes successful, it becomes kind of never ending and maybe people think it is successful so let us give the readers what they want, the content and quality be damned, that is exactly what happened with this series. I am not questioning how good a writer Erin McCarthy is, because I really like her books but I have not been blind to the flaws in her recent books

Lou: The Fast Track series is definitely a must read for contemporary romance fans and for fans of sport romances. I adored the first two books in the series, and enjoyed the third but skipped the other books after reading the not so great reviews. I’m glad to say that Jacked Up ends the series on a great note. Jacked Up features one of the most adorable and funny heroes, and a heroine with a spunky attitude that...more
Erin McCarthy is the queen of playful banter. That is evident in this book. That's what makes this book work for me. She takes a bitch & turns her into someone I can relate to ( :)...more

I was excited to get started on the next installment of the Fast Track series because the story is about a jack man instead of a driver. Also, it was about time Eve saw some action. And that cover, just so yummy.
Nolan Ford is the jack man (the crew member who carries the jack over the wall to service the car when it comes in to make a pit stop) for Evan Monroe's team. Well, he had what you would call a "wardrobe malfunction" on pit road whe...more
Who ever thought something like a man ripping his pants and bearing his delicious rear end to millions of people would lead to something like love?? Well, that's the story of how Eve got jackman, Nolan Ford...
What started as an argument of Eve yelling to Nolan to wear underwear... (awkward), ended in Nolan asking her on a date. The rest is history!
As far as the characters go, Eve was actually pretty difficult to like because she was so difficult... yes, I do realize that was intentional. Nolan,
Throughout the book Eve is presented as a bitter, immature, uptight chick. She's bitter because her brothers got to drive but she was discouraged. Point of fact, Eve never tells exactly ho...more
Initially Nolan and Eve are attracted to each other physically and Nolan is intrigued by Eve thinking there is depth behind the bitchiness everyone else sees. But the further I got into the book, Eve just seemed bitchy - full stop. There was no depth behind it other than she was unhappy with her life and not doing anything to change it. And for so...more
Erin McCarthy has the ability to take the bitchiest of heroines and make you like them. Let there be no mistake, Eve Monroe is about as bitchy of a heroine as anyone could stand. And yet we can all sympathize with her as the book progresses. I liked the banter. I liked the sex. I liked the story.
The ending felt rushed and a couple of loose ends I would have liked to have seen tied but overall satisfactory. We'll ca...more
Reading the synopsis made me expect Nolan to be this hard-ass who is tough and macho and nothing like the Nolan in the book. He's funny, dorky, and straight up cheery. He is seriously a glass half-full kind of guy. I liked that as much as I disliked it. Due to my daddy issues I like men more like Ryder from Hot Finish so at times Nol...more
I seem to be one of the few people who didn't particularly care for this book. Oh well.
Sixth book in Erin McCarthy's NASCAR-centered contemporary romance series. I think you could read this one without having read the others first.
Eve Monroe is a NASCAR PR whiz, focusing on keeping her two brother's career's in line. So when one of the pit crew members for one of her brother's teams has major wardrobe malfunction on national TV, it's Eve's job to try to get the...more
