I have read a couple of things by Caridad Pineiro and it never fails to amaze me how unique her stories are. This one is no different.
Paola is a lawyer in New York. She has a great career and the possibility for advance. She feels she is content with this until recently she started to feel like something was missing. I loved the concept of Ms. Pineiro's new novella, but I hope she'll be giving us more from the world she's created. It was a fantastic introduction to the Guardians. Paola and Rey are both sexy and independent people who immediately feel a connection. The Amazon location is interesting in itself, and then throw in a paranormal element with steamy sexual tension that leads to hot sex and you get a fast paced paranormal romance that leaves you wanting a bit more. I really hope we see more of this...more
