Michael Jackson Conspiracy
He was the pop icon the media loved to hate. Tremendously wealthy, inarguably eccentric, and one of the most famous people in the world, Michael Jackson was the unenviable target of constant public humiliation. The media poked fun at his skin, his features, his sexuality, and his lifestyle. Here, seasoned crime reporter Aphrodite Jones condemns the media for perpetuating ha...more

I applaud Aphodite Jones (white woman of greek descent) one the many reporters that were one sided and bashing Michael during that ungly ridicullous trial. She was gutsy enough to dig deeper, looking pass, rumour, innuendo, lies and untruths to get at the REAL truth of the trial. Warning THIS BOOK IS NOT ABOUT MICHAEL JACKSON, this book is the inside truth about the trial. What we saw and heard through TV, radio and newspaper media WAS not the TRUTH as to what was really happening, said, done an...more

I finished the book with a heavy heart. It just shocked me so much, how blinded the DA prosecutor Tom Sneddon was by his vengeance, possibly racism and prejudice against Michael Jackson. This child molest case, did not make sense at all. It is scary what people in power can do particularly when they have a prejudice against certain people. What about "innocent until proven guilty" huh?

I had trouble putting the book down - at least, it was very hard to do whenever I was forced to by other obligations. I received it in the mail on a Thursday and finished it that following Sunday night (this is FAST for me, given everything else I have on my plate).
Anyway, this book is amazing - I was quite literally floored by the information it contained as it was stuff I hadn't heard about due to selective (heavily slanted against Jackson) media coverage at the time.

Sadly the only thorough and accurate account of the Michael Jackson trial. Considering its place in legal (and pop culture) history - not to mention the millions it cost California taxpayers - this is a breath of fresh air amongst all the uninformed commentary and ruthless joking about the darkest period in the life of Michael Jackson. However, since Jones sets out to paint a factual picture of the full trial for readers - writing from the perspective of one of the hundreds of journalists assign...more

I really enjoyed this book. It was eye-opening and sad. I would have given it more stars, but I found easily 20 to 30 misspellings and grammar errors. It should have spent more time in editing; it took me out of the book.
If you want to know exactly what happened in the court room during his trial, this is the book to read. The media only reported all the speculated negative information for their gain. What no one heard was how the family who was accusing Michael has tried to commit fraud on numerous occasions, and that they actually tried to go after Chris Tucker first. If Michael didn't pay off the frist family who accused him and went through the trial, that family would have been proven money hungry, and t...more
I never believed that MJ was guilty of any of terrible allegations in which he was accused. After reading "Conspiracy", I now believe even more that he was innocent. It seems that while many of know that, there "haters" who want proof of his his innocence. Well, now you have it!! I find Ms Jones' work to be very reliable; it is well researched & well written; this is a book that utilizes the most basic reasoning to reach that conclusion - and it is NOT one of guilt. This is a...more
I am extremely thankful to Aphrodite Jones for writing this book, revealing all the FACTS about the so-called "Trial of the Century".
I gave it 5 stars because it is the most detailed review of the trial I could ever imagine. While all the fuss was happening in 2004 and 2005, I was terrified by the Machine of Media and the way it tried to besmirch Michael Jackson. He was "guilty until proven innocent" because many people benefited financially from his name an...more

What I learned from this book? Though I have always held firm to my belief that Michael Jackson was innocent of the disgusting accusations (both in 1993 and in 2005), this book laid it all out for me in plain ink. What a gross misuse of California taxpayers' money this trial was, and I commend Tom Mesereau for his fantastic job as the head of Michael's defense team. This book needs to be read by anyone who was ever swayed by the media's misrepresentation of Jackson and the trial, by anyone who h...more
The writer uses court documents to prove that the 2005 MJ trial was a conpiracy. It is very sad what this man had to endure in his life..considering he gave up his life to entertain us. A very powerful book...shows how much the media can twist the truth until their version IS the truth. Also the author was one of the media that covered the trial. After it was over, she read the court documents and realised they had just crucified an innocent man.
This book details what went on during Michael Jackson's 2005 child molestation trial. I believe the facts presented in this book really speak for themselves. It is very well researched. I often found myself shaking my head in dismay as the events were revealed to me. It proves completely without a doubt that Michael was always an innocent man, who has just been very vulnerable to people like the Arvizos, trying to extort him of his money.
Fascinating account of MJ molestation trial. At the time it was going on, I didn't pay much attention, but now after the fact, it's amazing to learn how much he went through to defend his name. It's hard to believe things like this happen to innocent people. I have a great respect for defense attorney Thomas Mesereau, that he stood up for truth when it wasn't popular.
The author is known for her sensationalist coverage of crime cases, including her coverage of the Micheal Jackson trial ( Which she states herself )
The most sensationalist of this book is the title, which refers to the negative media treatment of Michael Jackson during the Arvizo trial.
It was suprisingly entertaining even for a non-Jackson fan like me. If you don't know anything about the ways trial procedings go and you are intresting in that, it might be intresting as w...more

I'll chalk a lot of the redundancy and typographical (and grammatical) errors up to the fact that she self edited and self published. Unfortunately, I cannot forgive the poor research and over all poor writing. A die hard MJ fan already knows everything in this book and a non fan wouldn't be able to make it past the first 5 pages. Pass.
A shocking expose of how in some instances, law enforcement officials can twist the evidence to suit their own personal agendas, and how the media can manipulate the public into believing an innocent man is guilty before he has even gone to trial. Anyone who still harbours the slightest suspicion of the truth in this matter should read Aphrodite Jone's "Michael Jackson Conspiracy". You owe it to yourself, and we all owe it to MJ.
This is a very good book. It was nice to hear the real story without all the negative press concerning Michael Jackson.
Another must read for any true Michael Jackson fan.
