A beautiful, clearly written, and well organized exposition of Buddhism as practiced in Tibet. There are a lot of things plainly explained that are vaguely glossed over in other books. The relationship of the varied factions and denominations is clearly shown, although a detailed discussion is beyond the scope of this book. A good place to start if you are new to Tibetan Buddhism.
