This was an interesting read. Angels, demons, and mortals fighting to save their world. The story takes place three weeks after the first book finished. Oh my! Earth Angel is even better! It picks up where Boyfriend From Hell ended and doesn't slow down!

Let me just tell you this, I had sat down with the first book in this series, Boyfriend From Hell one day, and I sat down with this one, the second in the series, the next, so my brain was practically fried by the time I put this book down. So much went on and I have to admit that I was thoroughly satisfied with most of it, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to finish the two books in two days. Let me just tell you this, I had sat down with the first book in this series, Boyfriend From Hell one day, and I sat down with this one, the second in the series, the next, so my brain was practically fried by the time I put this book down. So much went on and I have to admit that I was thoroughly satisfied with most of it, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to finish the two books in two days. But out of the two books, I definitely enjoyed the second the most and from the way it's going, I can't wait for the third. Earth Angel gave me more enjoyment through the main characters and the plot-line, both of which I felt were a little lacking in the first book. I really like the fact that E. Van Lowe's work seems to be improving over the course of the series unlike many other's which slowly start taking a dive.

Megan was one of two characters in the first book who I really thought needed more substance and a better personality, and that's exactly what I received in this second one. She showed a lot of character growth and has proved me wrong at multiple points. She started out a little meager but grew into a strong and determined woman and I loved that. I also liked that she was straight-forward and went through so much to get where she is now because that shows she doesn't break easily. However, as much as I loved Megan, I felt that her character is equal parts weak at times. Lowe shouldn't have tried to make her so forcibly witty and older-than-her-age because that was a definitely turn-off. One of the problems I had with her was that although she was a teenager, she didn't come off as relatable even if she did face the occasional high-school dilemma. But her character and personality in the second book was surely an improvement from the first and I gotta give Lowe that.

I really enjoyed Guy's character in this book more than I did in the first one because we got to see a different side of him putting aside the bad-boy act he put up as a front which seemed to have won him Megan. In this book, Guy has his own voice and I felt like he should definitely be himself outwardly because I like that side of him better. He's actually quite a nice guy and he shouldn't hide his pros while displaying some of his cons. I'm looking forward to seeing even more character growth in the third and final book.

Like I said before, I am thoroughly satisfied this series so far as it's gotten better throughout the story. The action was one of its best aspects with plot and humor falling through by a tiny bit. I also liked that the romance didn't consume the entirety of the story and there was more room for character/plot growth. Some parts of this book came across as forced while others blew me away. This makes me even more excited to get my claws on book number three!(less)

In my reviews, I will not give a lot of details that are in the book. Otherwise, there is no reason for you to read the book!! In my review I also won't give you the same description the book does. Like some reviews do. (UGH!)

With that said: Earth Angel is just as good as the first book. Even though the first book had ended with one of Meagan's friends, Erin, threatening her, there really wasn't much of her in this one. However, it didn't dampen the over all story. There still was a Demon advent...more

I do not know why I do this to myself. I keep saying I will not read the next book in a series until all books are out or it is close to the next book. UUGGGHHHHHH but I did it again. I was reminded today by the author that I had the next book on my TBR list and could not stop myself from reading it. Sometimes having a Nook is not the greatest thing when I know I can buy a book in less then two minutes. Now I have to wait until December for the next book. Who is going to return? I enjoyed Book 2 just as much as Book 1.

Megan still has the The Book of Calls--the tool used to defeat Satan. Now, everyone wants the book; Angels in Heaven, Demons in Hell, and Nephilim on Earth.

Megan still has the The Book of Calls--the tool used to defeat Satan. Now, everyone wants the book; Angels in Heaven, Demons in Hell, and Nephilim on Earth.

There are very typical teenager moments in this book (it is YA after all).
1. After Matt's death, the Poplarati invite her to The Explosion, a "ditch day" tradition. She is then accused by the Principal of the school and threatened with expulsion from the school unless she gives up the names of everyone else that was there. She refuses, not wanting to be the snitch.
2. Guy shows up to a basketball game with a beautiful angel at his side and Megan fears the worst--he is breaking up with her for this beauty. Of course, there are tears, accusations, and miscommunication.
3. Discord between her and Suze (her mom), which is a typical teenager problem (I was a teenager once, a typical one at that).

Megan's former friend, Erin, transfers to another school and refuses to talk to Megan at all; angry because she blames Megan for Matt's death. She also befriends some ruffians from her new school. This particular plot line isn't explored in Book 2 but I hope it is in Book 3.

Guy, now that his wings are clipped and he's grounded to earth, spends as much time with Megan as possible. Since Suze isn't fond of him, it's mainly at school. Megan never reveals that she is in possession of The Book Of Calls to Guy but he eventually finds out...after it's too late. The demon obsessed with finding The Book Of Calls has tricks up his sleeve, requiring Megan to save the boy she loves.

We got to know Megan and Guy a bit better in this installment and it really helped me connect better with them.

I liked this book more than the first one in the trilogy, and from the way it ended it seems like the last book is going to be the best one yet! Earth Angel totally changed my view of Megan and Guy. I liked both of them so much more, and I felt like I really got to know each of them so much better.

Megan has shown so much character growth. It makes me kind of proud really. I felt so bad for her in most of this book because of what was going on with Erin and her mom. I love to read about their journey and actually witness their progress. That's what happened with Megan.

Guy was another character that I did a 180 with. My feelings for him completely changed. In Earth Angel, you really get to see into Guy's head and get some idea about who he really is. And the true guy, is pretty great. He should have just been himself the whole time. He didn't need to pull that bad boy act. But I guess it worked with Megan. My only complaint is that I would have liked to have seen more of Guy in this book. But instead we got to see some new characters- Harrison and Rocky. I liked them, but now that I had warmed up to Guy I wanted to see more of him.

I loved the little surprises we found out about Megan and I can't wait to see even more about these developments in the next book. I bet we are going to see some really cool stuff.

Megan's friendship with Maudrina touched my heart. I really enjoyed seeing them get closer and become better friends. She needed that after Erin went crazy. (which I totally did not like. BOO ERIN!!) I wanted to get some more insight into the whole Erin/Matt situation but that did not get addressed at all in this book. Oh well, maybe in the next book there will be a fight or resolution between Megan and Erin, but I have to say I am not at all impressed with this new Erin.

Overall, Earth Angel was a really good second book in the Fallen Angels trilogy. I found it to be more interesting than the first. Probably because the foundation had already been set and we already knew all the characters. I can't wait to see what is going to happen next. Another killer ending that left me sad, but I am hopeful that Megan will be able to fix the situation in the next book. (less)

A few months ago, I read the first book in this series, Boyfriend from Hell and I loved it, so when I found out Earth Angel was coming out I had to sign up. Sometimes sequels though good are not as good as the first book. But this one was even better than the first if it was possible.

I happen to be the publisher of this book, so I'm clearly biased. However, when I discovered that this series had not been snapped up by a bigger publisher, I jumped in. E. Van Lowe writes so well because he'd been a writer and producer on "The Cosby Show" among other sitcoms and knows how to create an involving storyline and amazing dialogue. He knows young women and men well, and their awkward interaction. He weaves in humor among the heart-pounding drama, and like J.K. Rowling of Harry Potter...more

The second installment to the Fallen Angels series was better than it's predecessor. Instead of being the self-absorbed girl that she was in Boyfriend from Hell, Megan matured and thinking of a much bigger picture than her own little world.

She's worried about what would happen with Guy, should he get redeemed and ascend to Heaven again. Sure she's worried about what that will mean for her, but she's also worried about Guy who seems torn between the girl he loves (Megan) and the world he's always known.

She's also worried about Erin and tries to mend the rift between them. Granted, Erin wants nothing to do with Megan, but Megan does continue to try. In the past, she would have gotten mad at Erin and given her the silent treatment rather than trying to get through to her.

When Megan discovered Hell was still coming after the book, which she still had in her possession, she understood the dangers of letting it fall into the wrong hands and took steps to ensure it's safety. And when Beelzebub took what she loved most as a bartering tool for the book, Megan put aside her feelings for a certain incredibly beautiful angel linked to Guy and joined forces with her to save the boy she loves.

The book cliffhangers at the end, leaving us to wait for the final installment, Heaven. Hopefully we'll get our answers to what's going on with Erin and which angel is rising again.(less)

EARTH ANGEL, by E.Van Lowe is the sequel to Boyfriend from Hell which I absolutely loved!! Megan is one of those characters that really sticks out in your mind when the book is long finished. She is quirky, intelligent, and has a heart of gold.

It really surprised me that this book was written by a man. Lowe really got into the mind of a fifteen year old girl and I was astonished that he accomplished that. These books remind my of the Ruby Oliver series by E. Lockhart in such a good way! I love r...more

Sure, it's always good to start at the beginning, but this is the type of series where no matter what you book you start with you, you won't get lost while you're reading it. E. Van was able to fill us in on what transpired in the first book with subtle hints in this second book. I honestly enjoyed every minute of it and look forward to reading the first book soon as well as what transpires next in this series. It's that good!(less)

As always, Van Lowe brings his readers a vibrant cast of character who are endlessly charming and entertaining. If you haven't noticed, I am a HUGE fan of E.Van Lowe's Falling Angels Saga! HUGE! Lowe has done an incredible job of writing the characters in this book. This book started where it left off where it ended in book 1 (Boyfriend From Hell). I have to say that I really enjoyed reading the first book, and I had to get my claws on the second. And I have to say, there wasn't a moment that I regretted.

I had the pleasure of reading this book prior to posting a review and promotion for an upcoming Cyber Monday Giveaway. I must say I was impressed with the story and characters. For all the YA, paranormal, fantasy fans - this book is a great read. It kept my interest from start to finish, made me wonder what would happen next; and actually kept me in suspense for most of the book. The sequel is set shortly after Boyfriend From Hell (Falling Angels Saga, #1); jumping to when Megan's already recuperated from her battle with the devil and her and Guy are finally a real couple. Megan is still coping with the loss of her best friend Matt who was also her betrayer for which she still has residual mixed feelings about. She tries reaching out to Erin but it seems she's strayed from her normal behavior and into darker territory. But Megan could not be any more happier since she and Guy are now official and they have a shot at a normal relationship--or as normal as can be with an angel. Unexpected problems arise that threatens to tear them apart along with some buried secrets, lies, and hidden agendas.

I felt kind of let down with Megan because in the first book she's a go-getter whose hell bent on taking down Satan himself to save her mother but in this book she kind of digresses into a scared girl who struggles to deal with everything that's presented. However, towards the end she starts being the more confident version of herself that I really liked seeing in the first book. Once again I enjoyed seeing Guy but his scenes are so few and far between, you see other secondary characters more than you see him--the cover is a little misleading in that aspect. But I loved the introduction of Harrison--Guy's angelic friend, he's arrogant, attractive, witty, and has an Australian accent to boot--he's just so awesome! You also get to see more of Maudrina whose become Megan's best friend and I loved reading the parts with them together--just like in Boyfriend From Hell they have there delightfully comical moments.

In Earth Angel Megan starts to shed her nerdy reputation and moves up in status due to her former association with Matt who was part of the Poplarati but it's not all its cracked up to be when she gets put in a strenuous situation that can easily destroy the popularity she's just gained. To top it off it appears she hasn't seen the last of Hell when its residents come looking for her. Between her social life, school, boyfriend drama, and otherworldly beings she has a lot on her plate. Earth Angel has its ups and downs but overall it's a nice amusing paranormal read. It earns a solid 4/5 star* rating. I'm looking forward to Heaven Sent (Falling Angels Saga, #3). (less)

I loved, loved, LOVED it! It was awesome and had shocking twists I did not see coming! The ending...Oh my gods! I want more! I need more! I sooo cannot wait for book 3!

Earth Angel had awesome descriptions, tons of actions, and lots of emotion. Megan's character has really grown and developed, while Guy...gosh, that guy is just totally swoon-worthy, yet still a bit mysterious. Love it! I was really glad to see more of him and Megan in this book.

I just finished the last sentence and I'm left stung that I have to wait for the final book to come out. I can't wait!
I loved the first book, and was so excited by a story of a girl battling Satan. I mean, how cool is that? Then she comes back in this book, and though a different story surrounds her, it is just as exciting, if not just a tad more.

I actually liked this one.... it was a bit choppy in places and there were editing issue that bugged me, but the story is good and the characters were interesting and relatable. I will be going back to read the first book and am awaiting the third book to see what happens.
