"Let me tell you a story" is a book of short extension made of little tales that need to be read calmly, with mime and especially with a lot of personal reflection. I advise you to read it slowly, savoring it like a fine wine and leaving the moral hidden in each chapter resonates through your head like an echo throughout the day, this will make you reflect more deeply into every psychological tip that Bucay tries to teach us. It's a book I recommend to everyone because I think we all need from t ...more

Based on this book, translation, ''Let me tell you a story'', I got an impression that Jorge Bucay is trying to be South American guru of popular psychology. In this book, guru of Gestalt psychotherapy and philosophy. It was like he was trying to be bookish Sean Maguire from 'Good Will Hunting' but he failed. At least for me.

Jorge Bucay wrote this book in gestalt mannerism, meaning, Bucay is a real Argentinean psychotherapist and he wanted us, me, the reader to get in contact with myself, using

Me equivoqué, las sesiones ...more

Arax Miltiadous

The book is really easy for reading. I finished it in a few hours.

Despite that fact, however, it is full of interesting stories. A lot can be learned from them. Nearly all aspects of life are covered.

That is why I think that every person who cares for his or her well-being should read this book.

Buenos cuentos. Cada uno te deja una pequeña marca. Cada uno tiene algo diferente para darte. Son todos muy amenos y entretenidos.

Viele kleinere Geschichten, verpackt in mehreren Therapiesitzungen.

One thing i can tell for sure about this book - it's life-changing. All of those stories make you realize that what it is, it's not always what it seems. And i just ADORE the way I feel now, it's like I am about to start living a brand new life now.

Stoga, nije loše podsjetit ...more

There are many good old wives' tales. Some of the stories are known from other sources and books. I like the way of narrating that every problem/situation has its way of solution which can be apparent and simultaneously it's reflecting in individual stories. :)

One of his friends recommends him to go see a therapist. Demian follows the advice, and ends up getting a very unconventional treatmant. His therapist

When I first started to read this book, I thought: this therapist is one big high hat with self esteem higher than Eiffel Tower. He wants to show up too much for my taste. But it is a hell of a good therapist, some of his stories are still sitting in my mind making it stir... Like the one about lying and liars. I don't feel hurt any longer because someone had lied to me! Anyway, I become interested in this type of therapy. Holistic.
