I took this book on a very long coach journey (about 9 hours travelling all told) and the time flew as I was joined on my journey by the Roman Centurions whose stories are told through these books. Great characters and descriptive passages kept me wanting to know what was happening to those involved and I was quite dissapointed that I hadn't brought book 3 with me.
