"What came out of those cities were twitchy, morally defunct, fever brained, starving cannibals. What else you gonna call ‘em?

Oh yeah, another zombie story :) Wavering between 3 and 4 stars for this one. I love the writing and author A.L.Brown's voice. However, this isn't really a complete story. It reads more like an introduction to a larger tale. There is a lot of telling, just when the story starts to pick up and reveal a hint of "showing" ends. Even so, I am definitely interested in r

First a disclaimer. I have zero interest in reading about Zombies. Correction. I have zero interest in Zombies period. Now that I've gotten that out of the way, let me say that this was quite an interesting book, especially that it's about Zombies. Surprisingly, I got lucky and picked this to be my first Zombie story to read. It may be short. But it's fun, well-written and witty. I was actually sorry to see it end. I surprisingly really liked this despite the fact that it felt like a first chapter of a longer novel. I loved the writing and the idea of how zombies developed. Just wish this was much longer.

I didn't like the 'voice' of the protagonist/narrator in this story at all, far too arrogant for her to be deemed likeable at all.
This was a great short read!!! And I so love the origin of how zombies came to be in this book. Maybe the author will decide to make it a full length book one day!!! :-)

Very short zombie story, but massively good. Hopefully this author will grace us with longer books in the near future.

I enjoyed it, but of course, I wrote it. I don't think I would have done that if I didn't like the story. That being said, I am looking forward to writing and reading more of the Z-Day Incidents. The next short is titled "Bad Blood," and is already available. If you liked "Gone Green," try the next one too.Bad Blood
