Time And Eternity: Exploring God's Relationship To Time
Time and Eternity deals with difficult issues in modern physics and brings them into relation with traditional theological doctrines. Craig has done a great work, and it is marvelous that now the philosophy of religion is engaging with the philosophy of science to the great benefit of both.

By far this is the most accessible introduction to the nature of time and its relation to the God of Christian Theism. Time and Eternity is a sort of summarized culmination of years of philosophical reflection and publication on the issues involved in such questions. While being written to the more informed layperson, Craig does an excellent job presenting his position cogently articulated and, yet, in a clear and accessible form. Lay-persons without a prior understanding of the issues involved...more
This is a book I don't think I'll ever really be finished with, even though I've read it cover to cover. An incredible resource for anyone serious about delving into the philosophy, theology, science and sheer logic behind the question of whether God is temporal or timeless - and the ramifications of each conclusion. William Lane Craig is thorough, lucid, and overwhelmingly informed on the subject.

God and Time are subjects that have interested me for a while now. Not having ever taken physics, I have to read the book rather slowly to make sure I understand the concepts, or at least to make sure that I'm incapable of understanding the concepts. I normally appreciate Craig's clarity of thought, so I'm very interested in his conclusion as to God's temporality vs. atemporality.
Very thought provoking book. This book provides a fresh perspective on the role of science, particularily special relativity, on theological questions such as God's eternity. Surprisingly, one's original intuitions about time seem to be unaffected by relativity theory and complex views involving God existing outside of time are unnecessary.
William Lane Craig is one of the most well-known christian philosophers and Christian apologists. He has written numerous books on this subject, and this book, which is written with the purpose of explaining the important elements of the relationship between God and time to people who have not spent their lives studying this issues, is a great addition to the enormous list of books that he has already written. I will be writing my review of it on my blog.
It was a little bit of a trudge at times as some of the texts were really abstract, particularly the earlier chapters on divine timelessness verses divine temporality. I enjoyed the later chapters critiquing the dynamic and static theories against one another, the argument really hinges on the sequential ordering of events and the objective verses the subjective reality of temporal becoming - the static theory just doesn’t hold up to the scrutiny.
