Can't afford Jenny Craig or Nutrisystem? No clue how to start a diet and keep it going? Or no time to bother with counting calories or carbs? Then this is the book for you. The author lists foods that are inexpensive and available anywhere and does all the counting for you. For instance, under the 1500 calorie plan:

Breakfast: McDonald's hotcakes, Mott's Pomegranate applesauce, black coffee
Snack: 1/2 grapefruit
Lunch: Denny's grilled shrimp skewers, kiwi
Snack: Dole cherry mixed fruit
dinner: Green

If you want the ease of all processed foods, this is for you. I was disappointed that only 7 out of 274 pages had fruits and vegetables on them.
