I'd actually give it a 2.8-2.9 on 5.

It's definitely an intro to sexuality, politics, and rights discourse, but lacks an intersectional analysis.
There isn't much by way of looking at race, class, etc and its links and sub-links in how it connects to sexualities. I also think the case studies were rather superficial and failed to showcase multiple approaches and delve into the complexities of the issues and many arguments- both internal to the sexuality rights movements and external to it.

Easy reading for those looking to begin reading about sexuality and the state — takes as much effort as reading a 101 book, but you get way more information.
