Candace Bowen Early scores another historical winner with this masterful time travel romance. Her love for the medieval English culture and telling a breathtaking love story is evident in Spur of the Moment. It didn't take long for this book to become one I simply did not want to put down!

This epic romance unfolds quickly as young Bronwyn Chase, a famous author of our time, suddenly finds herself thrown back into 12th Century England. She meets a young knight named Euric and is immedately feels
Romance and magic intertwine in Candace Bowen Early’s SPUR OF THE MOMENT.

When best-selling historical romance author Bronwyn Chase meets a mysterious mystic from the past, Browyn’s life changes on the spin of a knight’s spur. She is transported to 12th-century Cornwall, where she discovers she’s fated to love a knight named Euric. There’s one problem. He’s under a curse from a dark witch. Bronwyn must call upon her own mystical birthright to find a way to free him, or else.

This book not only looks fantastic it is! This is a unique time travel love story that will stick with you. I was awed by the powerful love that Bronwyn and Euric share and the connection they have. I honestly with I could hear my husbands thoughts in my head. That would be so cool! This story is filled with adventure twisted together with many up and downs and the unexpected. This book leaves you with a smile on your face. I found the moment very moving when Bronwyn meets her mother. This story ...more

Spur of the Moment is a wonderful mix of romance, vengeance, true love, loyalty, friendship, magic and mystery.

Modern 21st century America contrasts starkly with 12th century Cornwall UK, as disillusioned author Bronwyn Chase struggles to save her soul mate, Euric, from the clutches of a vengeful and possessive Jaenelle. Bronwyn must find a way to unlock her own, unsuspected, mystical powers in order to fight Jaenelle, but not even she can resist the final, time-travelling pull of a magical silv
Candace Bowen Early did a great job of capturing the reader in this wonderful book. I fell in love with her character, Bronwyn, right away. I was enthralled with the mysticism and romance in this book. I really enjoyed the time travel aspect, and was mortified when Bronwyn thought she had lost all chance of ever returning to Euric in the past. What a great book.

I received this book as a free giveaway from Goodreads First Reads.

Well Done Candace!!!!

Seldom have I come across a book that has me laughing or thinking with the turn of each page. In Bronwyn Chase, the author has captured warmth, insecurity and bravery creating a character both believable and likeable. A beautiful love story, I would highly recommend Spur of the Moment to anyone.
This is a great love story. If you love historical romance with a bit of fantasy then spur of the moment is just right up your ally. I just love the way she made a love story mixed in with time travel. And how their love tested time. So just pick up the book you won’t be disapointed.
Great read! Especially for anyone that likes paranormal romance. The book had lots of twists and turns. It took place in two different centuries. It easily combined History, Paranormal, Romance, and Mystery. It was full of intrigue and pleasure. I would recommend this book!

I truly enjoyed this book. I had hopes it would be a passing entertainment, but it offered much more than that! The book was well read, the storyline interesting and the characters enjoyable. I look forward to reading more of this series!
Ok, the author redeemed herself with the ending of the story. I was all ready to go with the 3 star rating when the heroine had some things change in her story and the book raced to the end. I am very pleased with the HEA.
I love this story. It's theme of present meets past is superbly executed with just the eight amount of culture shock and jokes. This is a story that lingers with you long after you've finished it.

This entertaining fantasy takes the reader through time. Myths, magic and modern times collide when Bronwyn Chase, a young up and coming romance author, meets a mysterious woman. The lady sounds as if she's from one of Bronwyn's Medieval based novels. She spins a tale that even the young author finds hard to believe, but it rings true when Bronwyn is transported in time to the year 1122.

This is a charming fantasy full of magic and mystery. Bronwyn must fight great evil to rescue the man she love

I love when authors create a character that is a writer themselves, Spur of the Moment follows a Historical Romance author who gets transported to the 12th century and finds out she actually is from that time. Though the plot was fascinating it pains me to say I just couldn’t get into the pace or characters. It missed a beat for me but please remember this is my opin
This book tells of a young, famous author who never feels like she fits in in her world. She writes historical romance novels and finds those time periods she studies fascinating. She is taken away to the past where she discovers that she was born. Shortly after her birth she was sent forward in time and is now returning to her rightful place. She feels torn between those things she has left behind (mostly chocolate and warm showers) and this life she lives so naturally. As she discovers her own ...more

I'm just going to say it how it is: I reeeeeeeeeeeeally enjoyed this book; probably more so than the sequel.

I instantly liked Bronwyn and thought her character was very well developed. I also felt that the author cared very much for her too.
There was room in the story for Bronwyn to grow; we see how she deals with her past circumstances and also, how she deals with an agent who manipulates and uses her for her own gain. Her realisations, her strengths and her weaknesses.

I enjoyed this novel, like a fine wine. It was aged correctly, skipping from the present to the past, taking me on a journey through time with cahracters that I felt compelled to follow.
In the beginning, we meet the Heroine (Bronwyn) who's a Historical Romance writer, in present time. She is given a spur from another time, one that conjures images of wiccans and Beltane ceremonies, knights and chamber pots. She spins the spur and is cast into a past, which she soon figures out, is where she is a

"Spur of the Moment" by Candace C. Bowen was a wonderfully written novel. The character, Bronwyn Chase was indeed a very interesting one being a 'Best-selling author' where I liked her very quickly in this fast read. Good but it left me unsatisfied. I think this was part of a series maybe I would of liked it more if I had read the others. It was heart wrenching at times but it still was not what it could of been. The story is a good one. It's a wich/wicca thing. I do like those usually but here to much was left out. The emotion factor was not at it's best.
And the scene at the ruins were Janelle (the wicca/demon) tried to kill them all, where she contols Bronwyn by freezing her in place but left her seeing a

Disclaimer- I won a copy of both this and the sequel from a giveaway.

That said, this was an interesting read. It took a small section of the book to get really into it, mostly, I think, because it was very straightforward, which I'm not quite so used to. (I might have binged on mysteries and ghost stories before reading this, which probably didn't help.) Once you got over that, it went by quickly and enjoyably.

I loved the heroine from the beginning, though. Curious and practical, and learning
