Soso.

Recommends it for: No one
This book's plot was fine. Cheesy, predictable, with a Mary-Sue and a Gary-Stu. I don't care. Romance novels get a pass on that from me. But what's the point of reading a romance novel with only vague, pathetic descriptions of sex in it? FAIL. I want a romantic loving story AND hot sex scenes. Is that too much to ask? If you like romance books, but think there's too much graphic sex in them, then this book is for you.

This is a good Viking romance. Bobbi Smith usually has a good plot and characters in her books and this one didn't disappoint.

Exactly what you expect: predictable adventure and romance, and thoroughly delightful.

I really enjoyed this book. There was a good bit of mystery to it, as to who the traitor was among the Vikings. I also thought it was interesting how the Vikings would raid villages and strongholds and pillage. But the actual vikings themselves were portrayed as almost honorable. These saxon women fell in love with them and never once batted an eye at how they make their living. They go around killing people and taking their gold. But it was sort of overlooked once the women fell in love with th ...more

Bobbi Smith tells an interesting story about two people who find love with their enemy. The secondary characters get a quick story more toward the end of the book but it is there.

I think it is interesting how the Viking raiders come to raid another's land but he turns out to be the hero. I just love to learn what would be considered good and bad in other times and places and in this time it was very common for these kinds of things to happen. There is not a lot of historical facts in this story

It is what you expect of this book. The Viking is Black Hawk or Brage who is captured after he is left for dead after the failed raid. Black Hawk survives and wants revenge on the one who betrayed him and his men. The Saxtons are holing him captive waiting for the ransom from his father.

Lady Dynna is a widow who is being forced to marry her late husbands brother Sie Edmund. Lady Dynna will do anything to avoid a future with Edmund. Dynna heals Brage back to heath and enlisted/manipulates his hel

Uffda! An awesome read. Originally published in the 1990's as Passion by Zebra.

Dynna having been happily married to the older nice son then suddenly widowed is now being forced to marry the cruel younger son to keep her money in the family. She fears what this new marriage will hold so she and her maid flee into the night. They stumble upon a scouting party of vikings and are taken captive.

Brage the Norse warrior is a man to be feared and lusted after. He sees that there is more to Dynna than sh
