They were promised weight loss, the cure for Cancer, Parkinson’s Disease and infertility; they were promised hope.

The side effects were anything but hopeful.

Mara faces seemingly insurmountable obstacles and adversities as she works feverishly to free Sebastian from the holds which bind him. Her refusal to abandon him, and his refusal to let her slip away, keep them fightin

**4.5 Bastian Loving Stars** I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE Sebastian ---- now this 2nd book in the series is what I'm talking about developing our characters. This one was perfect with setting up the love shared between our MC's.

UGH...but another cliffhanger that I can't wait to read how this is going to pan out!

The storyline continues directly after Sundered. Considering the length of the book, both of them, probably together with the third installment of this trilogy, would have made a decently sized full novel.

The story of Mara and Sebastian continues, with a plot twist bringing them into contact with other survivors and a possible cure for the Nevermore drug.

The first book was entertaining enough, despite some minor flaws. But Bound, although the plot idea was good, was pretty weak in terms of stor

The second book in Mayer's Nevermore Trilogy Bound is another fast pace and fun read. The romance continues between Sebastian and Mara. Their love amazes me.
Once again the turmoil this couple goes through is heart breaking but their love for one another never falters. In this book we are with Mara as she struggles to survive the Nevermore out break. I was happy to find out that this book flowed seamlessly from the first. I bought it when I bought the first and was glad that I had it to move imm

This is a fabulous series from an author that just pops out of no where! The characters draw you into their world, the plot moves along at a pace that keeps you turning the pages and leaves you breathless with what will happen next.

I felt that the instances of violence and fear felt very real to me like it was the way it could truly happen in a apocalypse type situation.

I am SO excited to ead Dauntless! Sundered (Book I) was amazing and drew you in, Bound (Book II) was just as goood if not bett

Like Sundered, Bound is a page turner. I'm hooked on this series. Bound picks up where Sundered left off, with Mara on the brink of the hardest decision of her life. Without giving away too much of the book, for those of you who have not yet read this one, I will just say that Shannon Mayer has outdone herself. Bound is action packed, fast-paced, and sticks with you long after the final page. The descriptive flow of Mayers writing style literally draws the reader into the story.

I enjoyed the ongoing saga of Sebastian and Mara in this sequel to "Sundered". Their situation has worsened in this second book but Mara still fights to save both her husband and her unborn baby. Not so much against the creatures called Nevermores, this time her battles are more with her own kind - the humans.

Ms Mayer has a unique way of creating characters and telling a story and I hope she's around for a very long time. How she ever came up with the premise for this trilogy, I can't imagine.

Another great read!

The story picks nicely where it had been left in the first book of the series. As smoothly and readably as before, ‘Bound’ takes us into a different, unexpected direction. I was taken completely by surprise by the twist in the middle of the book.

The love line of the story is great, while the suspense builds consistently. The tension never slacks and the original angle on the zombie-related issues is refreshing. The Nevermores get more likable by each book, for my taste.

This 3 book series was a nice change of pace for me. I typically read a lot of romance novels and this book was different. It's a love story all twisted up into a world of zombie-ish monsters. I have already recommended this series to a few of my friends. It's a different twist from the typical love story and the characters are ones you won't forget. You will even be surprised by some of the characters that you will fall in love with. It's and easy and fun read if you're looking for something a ...more

I am definitely addicted to this series. The underlying humanity in the Nevermores shines through the story so clearly, while still emphasizing their baser instincts. The love story is ever-present, but blends well with the story rather than detracting from it. You can almost feel you are living the story, and you root as hard as you can for the survivors to keep on going. This author has a new fan in me.

Staying on the edge with the Nevermores

I was wondering where the trilogy was going after the ending of the first book. Don’t worry…no spoilers but LOTS of praise. Bound answers some questions from the first book, poses some new ones and continues to build the suspense. And brings in even more exciting, interesting and memorable characters. Luckily the third book was already on my Kindle!
Worked fairly well as a stand-alone novella (at least until the end, which was a "cliffhanger"). I'd like to have known how it ended, but part 1/2/3 type of "books" frustrate the hell out of me. I didn't realize it was the second in a series until a thing popped up asking if I wanted to purchase the third book. My only criticism in that respect is that I honestly thought the Nevermore were some kind of werewolf-type creature, so when it turned out they were yellow, I was a bit confused. Still no ...more
These are quite short for the price but still worth $2.99 I couldn't stop reading after what happen/where the first book ended. I appreciate the bond betweeen Mara and Sebastian.

I finished this book in just over an hour. It kept interested and didn't want to put it down. Very good. Can't wait to start book 3.

I am absolutely LOVING these books. Shannon Mayer has definitely made my list of favorite authors. I can't wait to check out the other books available from her!

Bound: The Never more Trilogy Book 2, picks up right where book 1 ended. I don't like to leave a lot of details (or spoilers) of the books I review because I think it's better to let the readers go into books with an open mind. I will say that you will follow along with Mara as she faces many obstacles in this new world. There are more tw
I read all the books in this series in less than two days. I am a technology junkie and haven't picked up an actual book since I got my Kindle two years ago. This has allowed me to find and read a lot of authors I would have never before known, and for that I am very pleased. More power to the Indie do it yourself writers that are out there.

Shannon Mayer has a good premise for this series, and she titles the book well as a zombie-ish apocalypse type book. I like anything zombie and love when pe

The following review is my opinion and not a paid review. I downloaded Bound as a free download from Amazon.

Bound is the second book in the Nevermore Trilogy and as other reviewers has said Bound picks up right where Sundered left off. Mira and Sebastian are in a secret army facility. Mira's friend Scout who is a nevermore is still hanging around. Scout thinks that Mara is one of his pack leaders because Sebastian and Mara are mates. He thinks that he has to follower her orders just like he does
Bound continues where Mara and Sebastian's story left off in Sundered and while their location has changed to a secret military encampment, their adventure is far from over. The action and danger does not let up, and is a daily part of their lives, only it is not just the Nevermores, but other humans with invested interests who pose a threat. Fearing that she is losing Sebastian to the Nevermore drug, Mara dares to hope that rumours of a cure are true and is willing to risk anything to save hi ...more

Action, love, violence, What more could one ask for in a book. The relationship between Mara and her 'Nevermore' husband Sebastian cause me stress as some points in this book. If I wasn't sure the series ends as a romance I would have guessed that in the end Sebastian would leave Mara. This series is worth the little money it costs to buy. I read it off my iPhone.

This book CANNOT be read before Sundered: The Nevermore Trilogy Book 1 (A Romantic Suspense) or you will be truly lost and lose alot of the beauty of this series... that said this is one of the best sequels I have read in a long time :)

This book picks up pretty much right where the last on leaves off. It introduces new characters and explains alot about how this post-apocalyptic world came to be as it is. There are facets to the survivors world I find truly terrifying and disturbing. I can total

Bound is the second book of Shannon Mayer's Nevermore trilogy, a Zombie-ish Apocalypse novella series.

A continuation from "Sundered" that will again shock you with life in an apocalypse with twists, thrills, monsters, and, of course, an undeniable love story.

The trilogy is "I Am Legend" meets "Resident Evil." The Nevermores are similar to the "vampires" in I Am Legend with their feral pack mentality, and the cause is because of a supposed cure-all drug, similar to the toxin in Resident Evil. The
This is the second book in the series by Shannon Mayer. After reading the first book I was so addicted I had to get this next one right away. I have to say it is even better than the first book. This book still has plenty of action. I continues right from the first book and continues the story of Mara and Sebastian. Mara grows quite a bit in this book and so does Sebastian. Its amazing how Shannon Mayer tells a zombie like book without all the zombie like features. These monsters actually act mo ...more

"Beauty And The Beast"
The saga continues as Mara tries to survive on her fenced-in farm. The Nevermores are not capable of climbing the iron gates in the front, but constantly assemble nearby. Mara is pregnant, hopeful that she can have this child of Sebastian. But a new threat changes her life once again as she is captured by apparent soldiers and taken to a military bunker near the Georgia Strait of Vancouver Island. This book is even more thrilling than Book 1 which should definitely be read

Mara is human and Sabastian is a Nevermore (a feral human who feeds off human flesh) he was turned buy the nevermore super drug, a cure all. Sabastian is different though he remembers Mara, and he responds to her.
They are both caught by the so called army and held agaisnt their wishes. The general wants to make an army of nevermores ( and Mara to train them) to attack a man named Donavan who is close to a cure, until an unfortunate accident took the generals life. Now its up to Mara and the arm

I liked this more than the first book.

In the first book the love story was a little heavy handed and it was in this book as well. Although an integral part of the overall plot I didn't need to hear repeatedly how much they loved each other and would never leave each other. Their actions throughout said enough without specifically stating it so much. There is also a love scene that, while I see the need for it in the context of the plot, I didn't feel had to be so graphic. But that's just my per
A "zombie"/ human romance? Umm, yes please!. I definitely love this storyline. I've read a lot of zombie books but in this one they're so different to what Im used too. Specially Sebastian who seems to be in a human-savage limbo. Can't wait to find out how this all ends.

Everybody likes Beauty and the Beast type stories where love is strong enough to push through other negative emotions and instincts BUT the whole concept of Nevermore (the miracle drug) was kinda stupid especially the explanation and that put me off.

This was an alright story, the second in the series. I always enjoy an apocalypse story where the human element turns out to be much more dangerous than the mindless masses of zombies. The plot is well planned and the tempo is good. The characters are interesting an real enough. This was a fine story but I had a hard time getting over the sexual aspect of it. The woman is normal, pregnant with a child, who loves and sleeps with what is basically a monster. I can understand that the love continue ...more
Good 2nd book in thos m series of zombie like characters with a love story tying it all together
Bound is meatier than Sundered, both in terms of length of the book and in terms of character and plot development. And it's probably also meatier in terms of how much human meat is consumed by the nevermores, but I wasn't really keeping track of that. The other thing I wasn't keeping track of was time. Like with Sundered, Bound will have you eagerly turning the pages and willfully ignoring the clock, even if you're losing much needed sleep! If you liked Sundered, don't miss Bound! (And if you h ...more

Reading and writing from a very young age I learned early on that stories built in a fantasy world were where the fun was at. Reading books by Robert Jordan spurred me on and it was the first real epic fantasy that I fell in love with. After that came Piers Anthony, Melanie Rawn and into my older teen years, Anne Rice.

It was in Rice’s novels that the idea of urban fantasy really bloomed for me and
