This is actually quite an unusual novel for the standard fair that tends to come out of TSR (now Wizards of the Coast, a subsidiary of Hasbro). Most of the AD&D books are pretty much fantasy adventure books that involve quests, however this one doesn't. It is set in one local and takes place only over a few days. Fun little work of fantasy and an old favorite. Rather than being an epic adventure, the story centers around a slightly foolish noble and his family intrigues. While part of The Finder's Stone trilogy, it works as a stand-alone story.

Another good one! I truly thought I was not going to like this series, but now that I've gotten through 2 of them, I'm pretty sure that whole thing will be great.

The characters in this story are great, funnier than in the last book. The authors make a minor player in the first book into the main character of this one. There isn't as much action in this tale, but they make up for it with the intriguing characters. I liked it.

Loved the halfling bard on the series.... on the first cover she was a hot illustration. They also gave a great visual of the bloodline in the Wyvern's Spur line.

This is the second book that I read that my husband requested from his teenage years. I enjoyed this one much more than I thought that I would.

I love reluctant heroes.

The shift from the protagonist of the first book to the second makes for an interesting. The plot is rather refreshing and well-told.
