Taunting Krell is “Cyborg Seduction” book seven, and Laurann Dohner just continues to get better and better! This is my favorite book so far in this futuristic erotic/sci-fi series.

I can wholeheartedly say that I enjoyed Taunting Krell, which was a pleasant surprise. I’ve read several books by this author now, and I’ve had issues with most of them (with the characterization and plot, not the sexy stuff). With this book, it was the opposite. I actually enjoyed the main characters but found the love scenes to be kind of boring and redundant. I actually wanted a bit more kink. But it was really nice to read a genuinely kick-ass heroine who didn’t need to be constantly coddled...more
Another great story in the Cyborg Seduction series. The series seems to have really hit its stride and shows no sign of letting up. I think the stories are getting stronger. They seem to be getting more plot driven and less erotica driven. Sex scenes are all very well and the ones here are lovely but I really want to know what’s happening with my couple and how the war with the Markus Models is going. This was my favorite heroine so far. Cyan was a kick butt gal but she was very sensitive and lo...more
Cyan is on a mission to hunt down Markus model andriods, they are killers. She is investigating a distress call from a space stations. Every human is dead.. One markus model remains. His is near destroyed but still speaks... she kills the thing and then finds herself surrounded by men in space suits with shielded faces she thinks them to be pirates and offers them a puppy.
Cyan has a secret though and when she find they are cyborgs she drops to her knees and surrenders shocked the cyborgs have s...more

Definitely my favorite book so far from Cyborg Seduction series.
Plot was interesting and made me keep going with reading this book. What made it even more interesting is whole Emily Pleva flashback story.
Cyan/Emily is very strong female character and OH! how I loved her sense of humor.
Krell, well I just have special place in my heart for in any way disfigured/disabled character and Krell got me there. This scene* just.. I wanted to punch those two and every cyborg woman on Garden.

Love this series and was so glad when this book came out that I bought it the first day. As some of my Goodfriends know, I have this thing for the tortured hero and Krell sure was that. Tortured and about to be killed, he's rescued by his friend when Emily aka Cyan, helps the cyborgs initially escape when she learns they are about to be terminated. She's the disabled daughter of their creator and is shot in the chest when she helps with the escape. Her dad saves her by changing everything about...more
Hmmm, out of the entire series I've read thus far, I liked this one the least. I mean, Redeeming Zorus and Stealing Coal, was a tough act to follow! What's my ish? Cyan! Heck, Cyan was too, well, too efficient! She outpaced, overshadowed, overdid poor Krell. Krell had enough problems. He came off looking less than worthy of her even towards the end, which sucked b/c the poor guy had been through hell already.
I liked him from his brief appearance in Redeeming Zorus, so this was a let-down for me...more

The back story of the main characters was very heart wrenching at times. It added an extra layer to the tale, which you rarely experience in reading a Dohner sexfest. Such a guilty pleasure!

Another 5 stars plus; what can I say but Krell, yum. Do not care of his scars, I want one of him. Emily aka Cyan, what a great rendevous or actually "Deja Vu", she saved him before and now he was saving her from the Mels, I have to admit I was getting annoyed of them not trusting her, but I finally understand; they were scared that she might give the Mels all about them, since she did admit that she was an advanced Cyborg. Kudos to the Author, please continue this series. I need to read by Sky,...more
The best book in the series by far. I loved Cyan! Her back story was just totally cool. I have to say that this series got better and better with each book and this one just topped them all off nicely. My only real peeve with this series is the failure to update readers on the previous main characters in other books. Would it have killed her to add a little snippet with Flint, Steel, Ice, Coal, ect ect? Other than that I loved the book, loved the series and think there must be more because the w...more

Once I've read a certain number of books in a series I lose my perspective and can't be sure if my rating is objective because there is that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you visit old friends. On the other hand, the ratings are all subjective so what am I worried about?

What can I say Laurann Dohner is a genius, I loved this book the story line was so original and fantastic and the way she excited it was perfect, This may be the best in the series so far, now I'm anxious for book eight. Many authors don't have the talent to write a series this long and not have a lag in the series or a complete falling apart of what the series was originally intended. Mrs Dohner didn't have either of these problems this series started great and has just gotten better with each...more
Whew. I have now caught up on this series - on to the next one. ;D
So Krell, like most of the cyborgs, has issues. He's scarred and convinced of his lack of attractiveness. Our h - Cyan (uh...isn't that the color of one of my ink jet cartridges?) - is a human mind in a cyborg body. Uh HUH. She was instrumental in the cyborgs' escape, the daughter of their creator, and not in good shape at the time. Fortunately for her, daddy had a spare body created just for her. mmm. not as good as the earlier books. do like cyan, our heroine, and do like that the stories are branching out, including non-human women (Not giving anything away there) in the mix. but the world building that was so awesome in the earlier books just isn't there. could be because the author felt we would be already involved from the earlier part of the series, but there were changes happening to the culture that weren't mentioned here. sort of felt like a cop out.

Laurann Dohner does it again with this seventh installment into the Cyborg Seduction series! Action-packed, erotically charged, and emotionally gripping, Taunting Krell will take readers on a sensual odyssey of self discovery, forgiveness, and laughter while keeping true to the futuristic and modern world the author has created!

Noone reading my past reviews of Ms. Dohner's work would instigate the thought that I would not be happy with new addition. That would be incorrect. This book was filler. Yep. Good old fashioned filler. Don't get me wrong. I like an background that summerizes the feature charactor along with a twist that leads to a common threat to build much needed trust. The ins and outs of challenge incoorpoate strength contributing to the web of secrets that surround a black pit of self hatred dealt by the h...more
This was the first book I've read of this series. I must say, I wasn't expecting the story to be written as well as it was. I'm glad I gave it a try! I've read a few scifi erotica stories and they left much to be desired . While the writing isn't perfect, I think it had just enough romance and erotica elements as well as a plot to make things work. The story kept me interested and the characters were well rounded. I'll definitely be checking the rest of the series out!
I had one main problem with this story: the relationship between Mavo and Cyan. In the prologue, I was under the impression that theirs was a romantic relationship, and I spent the rest of the book slightly annoyed that Cyan could change allegiances so easily. However, when we finally see Mavo again, it's made clear that the relationship was platonic. I just wish I would've known that way earlier.
Otherwise this was very enjoyable.

ohhhhh Krell!!!! This was by far my favorite. I loved the bantering between too. I love the sarcasm and the cat and mouse game. I have said it on another book review for the Cyborgs, but it bears repeating.....I cant say enough about this whole entire series...you must read it!!! Im gonna try to hijack me a space shuttle so I cand find me a Cyborg!!!
I have to say I really enjoyed this book. I'm not a big fan of erotic novels but this one doesn't just focus on the sex. There are trust issues, and political issues as well.
I love the world that the author has created, it's different. She describes everything really well, I can actually picture everything that I read. Makes it more enjoyable!! :D

this series just gets better and better and Cyan is my favorite heroine of the series so far and i absolutely loved her with Krell!!! they are perfect and i hope a story is written for her 'daddy' Mavo and his son Deviant as well. So we can see how Cyan interacts with new members of her family. Also I can't wait for Sky's story!!
Actually liked this story better than the last one I read in the series.
Liked the premise of a woman being a "key" player in the survival of the Cyborgs. And, she was written as a strong independent character.
This was an easy read nothing too complicated. Nothing really new or different from the others.

I love this series. The books just get better in the series. The characters grab you as soon as you start reading, its truely an amazing book and series!! I didnt realize how i love this kind of a scifi thing until I started this series. Now i look for more books related to this kind of thing. BRAVO! Laurann Dohner
I have read all of the books in her Cyborg series. I like this one as I liked all of the so far. I think I liked the heroine - Cyan - is my favorite of the series so far. I think that Krell could have used a bit more development because I didn't feel like I really got to know him and his feelings the way I did some of the other Cyborgs in the series (such as Coal). I am looking forward to the next installment! I love Laurann Dohner's books!

I Love this series! Laurann Dohner does not Disappoint, the only negative thing I can say is that it should have been longer! It felt way short!! I am eagerly waiting for the next one in the series.
The characters are brilliant and I love how she incorporates the old (how they escaped) with the new. It is a brilliant story and I couldn't put it down.

I'm so sad this was the last one in the series...so far! I hope they'll be more! I loved this story! I loved that you got the history of how the Cyborgs originally escaped and who helped them. It was a heartwarming past that led to an amazing future for Krell & Cyan :)
I enjoyed this book and loved the main female character. She was tough and I liked that. She did sometimes annoy me with her strange form of humor. I didn't really think she was funny but overall the story was great and the love story was believeable and I will probably read it again. This author will stay on my list of favorites for future reads.

I had a rather short area here telling a little about me but then I had more than a few people ask me to expand it so... here goes. LOL. I'm a full time home 'supervisor' which is a nice word for saying I'm a housewife. I'm married happily, I met my dream guy 20 years ago, and we have 4 children. I live in Southern California and I can't function without iced coffee. I believe in romance, I've alw...more
