Reid is tired of running, tired of hiding. It’s time to take the fight to the enemy. No more picking the kids off one by one, wearing them down with terror and starvation. He is ready to act and so are his friends. But something is changing inside Reid, an effect of the strange dust the hunters dissolve into when they die, and he worries he is turning into one of the very...more

Whatever happened in book 2 that made me question this series is gone; we're back to good old-fashioned tension, horror, action, and moral ambiguity. Reid is no longer a passive-aggressive douchenozzle; now he's worse, but without wanting to reveal too much, I'll just say that it's now justifiable and no longer irritating.

We get some long-overdue backstory and exposition in this part, which made me extremely happy, and a few dark twists that, while not a surprise (as they were amply foreshadowed...more

Reid had enough. He tried to Run, he tried to Hide, but he sees now that those were never the solution. He refuses to be a prey for the hunters. After all the running and hiding, Reid decides to fight the creatures he fears most.

For everyone who waited and desperately wanted answers: this is the book that will finally tell you all about the hunters, what are they and who is behind the experiment.
Also, in Fight, we meet a different Reid. The dust the dead hunters leave behind is more like a str...more

Book 3 in "The Hunted" series builds Reid's story into a blistering climax....
He decides enough is enough: He is tired of running, sick of hiding and decides to FIGHT back.
But when victims decide to become heroes they have to face parts of themselves that they usually hide from.
Will Reid have to become like the creatures that hunt him and his friends to finally take them down?
Will he have to sacrifice his humanity to overcome pure animal blood-lust?

Reid has been bullied, terrorized and subjected...more

Absolutely love this series of stories. I can feel the tension, and suspense every step of the way. The kids fight back and come so close to getting their freedom. Of course the evil military and mad scientist live up to expectation. The big betrayal was not really a surprise , but I don't know if the author really intended us not to know away, so I didn't feel disappointed with the discovery. Poor Reid, I have my hopes of his story ending a certain way, but I honestly don't know how it might co...more

The third book in THE HUNTED series, Reid has Run, he's had to Hide... now, it's time to Fight. He and his friends realize they can't keep running, or hiding. They have to Fight the monsters who are hunting them if they have any hope of making it out alive.

But Reid is changing. Faster, stronger, better vision. It's the dust the Hunters turn into when they die. What if he becomes that which he most despises? As he fights these inner changes, he also fights the Hunters and sometimes the other kids...more

I started this series because the first book was free on Amazon. I was hooked from the beginning. Who is chasing these kids? Why would someone put them in the woods to be hunted and killed? How is Reid going to survive? My parents bought me the second book as a gift, and I flew through it. I still had the same questions but I loved how Reid took control of his group of friends and started to learn how to outsmart the hunters. I finally bought the third book of the trilogy and excitedly read it i...more

In FIGHT, the third installment of Patti Larsen's spine-chilling Hunted Series, Reid and his gang have had enough with being the prey. The kids band together to trap and kill as many Hunters as possible, testing the limits if their courage and tenacity.
The aim: to fight back, to breach the fence. The road to freedom is paved with obstacles, especially the conflict which simmers amongst the kids.
This quick paced novel throws the collective fear of these kids off the page, holding you in it's gr...more

I write a lot of middle grade and YA paranormal books for someone who is afraid of the dark. And I wonder why I have to sleep with the lights on. Sometimes life is a teenaged B horror movie and I'm the one who investigates when the scary music is playing. But the voices are calling and resistance is… Yes. I am a Star Trek geek, too. And a fan of RPG’s. With a slight coolness factor since I've been...more
