The S Orchestra concert was so powerful, I just had to watch that scene in the dorama, and it was totally worth it. Rhapsody in Blue... WOW! So touching. So sugoi... I NEED to give this dorama another chance...

Also incredible when Chiaki played the piano with Nodame. And this part I did not even have to watch it on "live"; in the manga alone was a WOW moment again. The passion they both pour in every single note they play. Genius.

This review is for the series as a (almost) whole, reviewing after reading books 1-10.

It took me quite some time to really get into this series. Books 2-4 were okay. They kept me entertained and curious enough to keep going, but I don't think it was really until book 5 that I really got invested in the series and Nodame and Shinichi.

I'm not a fan of classical music so some of the lingo and storylines went over my head, but I got the gist of most stuff. Shinichi finds himself stuck with Nodame n

This volume brings us to the school festival, where all sorts of hilarity ensues! I'm always impressed with how Tomoko-san is able to bring the music alive through the pages! Astounding!

There is also a special story at the end which gives some background to Chiaki and his childhood - a nice little extra!

I'm looking forward to reading the next volume!

i watch, dorama version :

Nodame - Noda Megumi is a girl who like playing piano since she is a little girl, but weirdy she can't read a music score ?? She play it with Cantabile Style - when she hear another people playing piano, she can remembered it and played it. She is a little like stupid girl who cannot cook and really lazy to clean her apartement where she live.

One day when she meet with Chiaki-sama - the son of a famous pianist who have a dream becoming a famous conductor. But too bad hi

This is why I fell in love with The Rach 2. And while it was hard to "hear" the music as I read it, the anime only beautified even more. And I'm talking about the first movement, not the popular Adagio Sostenuto. But going back to the manga, it really brings the music to life in another artistic way.
