I am wavering between 4 and 5 stars on this one! I loooooooooved the concept and overall I loved the stories. It was a fast paced, easy read. I flew right through it! The story was great and I enjoyed it. The only reason I cannot give this a 5 star rating is because it was just too short and TOO fast! I really feel each these short stories could have been full books and still I would have hung on every word! That is my only complaint! This was so different from the Akasha series, but still so go...more

Way too short, but really interesting. Terra Harmony jumps right into the story, just sucks you right in and leaves you wanting for more. I can't wait for the next book.

At the age of 22, Isabelle starts having the same nightmares she had years ago about her twin sister, Gabriella, dying in the fire. Because of the nightmares, that perhaps they are a warning, they took the wrong turn and decided to stay in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where Isabelle, in the local library, found a book named Upior.

Upior: Yellowed, hardcover book. The word, it was one of the first known words that meant vampire. It was written in foreing language, but it was based on vampires; had vamp...more

There is a whole lota (is lota a word? if it wasn't it is now!) story packed into less than 75 pages in this first short story of the Kindred Curse Anthology. I loved it, plain and simple. The story never lets up from the first chapter to the very last page.

Isabelle and her mother are on the run. From vampires. After loosing her twin sister Gabriella who was in love with a vampire and her father to suicide, they don't stay in any place too long. Something is in Isabella's blood that makes her i...more

3 stars, I can't give it more. I like the story of this short story, but like the name implies it is a short story. And I think it could've been more. The whole story is rushed and while the story itself is fascinating, the lack of elaboration and explantion makes it a rushed read that hardly leaves an impression.

First the story. The story itself is very interesting. Isabella is part of a family that has a curse that attracts them to vampires. Sadly mor explanation we don't get. At the beginning...more

The Kindred Curse Anthology by Terra Harmony is a very interesting read. A short story about vampires, the book doesn't take much time to finish. Add to it the fact that the story is quite gripping. A book that can be finished in just one sitting, Gleaming White starts as a story about two twins, one of whom, that is Gabriella, died after being turned into a vampire. Her twin sister, Isabella is the next victim. She becomes the fancy of a vampire Elder, Xavier and is on the way to bringing her s...more

To anyone who enjoys vampires then this is a must read. I enjoyed it immensely and it is satisfying to read about vampires that aren't shy about feeding on humans. In many books today, vampires act disgusted in relation to feeding off of humans and Terra doesn't make it so. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves vampires.

The characters were interesting but the plot never developed well enough for me. I disliked the sequencing of the book, working back from current day to the origins of the curse because I felt that the ending which was at the beginning was never fully explained.

The cover caught my attention...and I think that Ms. Harmony is a name to watch. She rushed it just a bit in releasing this anthology ... great potential, but in need of editing. There are too many character, plot, spelling and punctuation holes to make this worth the 3 or 4 stars the idea deserves. However, she's on my radar.

A little disappointed. The read was interesting but it didn't finish which left the book very unsatisfying at the end. I kept waiting for the book to come back to the present time to finish the story. That was really the only problem with the book.

First few pages were interesting but when he started conjuring chicken out of thin air and making her clean without a bath.. lol. Couldn't handle anymore.

I enjoyed the series & would love to read on as to what happens with the twins. Please tell me this isn't the end.

interesting short story of how a vampire and a seer save both of their races.
Sandra Gilbert
interesting method of telling the story in reverse, gave it an odd out of this realm feel to it. Great characters and I hope it is continued.
Nick
Good read, waiting for more.
Margaret
Very thrilling although short it had quite an elaborate story behind it. I liked the ancient vampire mythology that was the backbone however I felt it just needed a little more in the way of I guess time for everything to be absorbed. Regardless it's good!
