The best piece of musical theater to come along in a very long time. This show is all about the music, as there is no spoken dialogue, only songs. Each song is a different character/characters, a different genre of music, and sometimes, different time periods. The common thread to these characters is that they are all on brink of change. I don't believe anyone knows how much I really like Jason Robert Brown's music...but hey, anyone who plays his own piano for his own productions is automatically cool...and anyone who writes an entire song is 6/4 time is pretty clever...
This is one of my favorite sound tracks and I just love singing these pieces and wish I would've focused on one for my senior recital.

Jason studied composition at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y., with Samuel Adler, Christopher Rouse, and Joseph Schwantner. He now divides his time between Los Angeles, California and Spoleto, Italy. Jason is a proud member of the Dramatist's Guild and the American Federation of Musicians Local 802 & 47.
