Sisterhood # 7: Yoko gets a long needed revenge.

Yoko has a secret that when she reviels her mission put the Sisterhood to the test. The Sisters put it all out on the line to help Yoko avenge her mother. Trust me when I say reader were not ready for this book until now. If it is something that makes Charles sick to his stomach then you know right off the bat that the mission is going to be difficult and somethings are not easy to forget and that this is one mission that takes strong wills and is

The Sisterhood is comprised of a group of women who have banded together to avenge the wrongs of those near and dear to them. In this series, I have enjoyed reading about and cheering on the women whose loyalty and smarts help them achieve their goals.

In "Free Fall: Sisterhood Series #7 (The Sisterhood)," one of their own, Yoko Akia, seeks to avenge her mother who was only fifteen when a wealthy man swept her off her feet with promises of love. Instead, he brought her a life of horror and eventu

Seventh in the Sisterhood vengeance-suspense series about a group of women seeking justice outside the courts.

The Story
It's a year later and, at last, it's Yoko's turn and, oh, boy, it is truly awful. Yoko wants vengeance against her own father. The man who has made it a twice-a-year practice to visit third world countries to buy very young virgins. Some for his personal use; the rest he sells to sick perverts just like himself. It was Yoko's mother's fate. Purchased along with her sisters, Suki

There could have been more 'meat' to this book. Not enough attention to what happened to the "bad guys". I wanted to know about every detail of them getting there just desserts after all the detail of their ugly activities. Instead we get too much about reporters and the GOOD girls getting caught, too easily in my opinion. Let's hope the author gets back to the good stuff in future books, that is the bad people getting their lives changed around forever in ways they didn't expect.

I have read Fern Michaels many times in the past but it has been awhile and I know my reading tastes have changed however, this book sort of makes me not want to read Fern Michaels ever again. A friend of mine loaned me the book and since she did, I wanted to give it a try. I figured out quickly it was part of a series and fortunately, a positive I can say about this book is that I did not feel like I missed anything from not having read the other books. I was pretty easily brought into the stor ...more

Well I think I can stop reading these books for a while, I find I am skimming more than reading for pleasure. It is almost a shame because I think the writing is getting better. I actually enjoyed the last 50 pages. I think the story idea is imaginative but the dialogue and character reaction to situations are just odd at times. Sometime when you read conversations in this series it comes off as a bad stage play. Head scratcher. I can't really give good reasons why I keep reading these books exc ...more

This is the 7th in the sisterhood series and I found it to be the weakest by far. I like the premise of the series but this one didn't hit the mark at all for me. Spent most of the book meeting the family that sold her mother into slavery and preparing for their out of country compound they'll need to hide in later. The actual revenge was very unimaginative and poorly done. I'm going to give the next one or two a try but hoping for great improvement.

Synopsis: Florist Yoko Akia has been hungering for revenge all her life, and now, finally, it is time. Yoko's mother was just fifteen when a rich American deceived her into a life of degradation in a twisted prostitution ring. She died aged seventeen after bearing her baby girl. The ladies are shocked to discover Yoko's dad is none other than Michael Lyons, an award-winning film star with another nasty secret: he's been buying and selling Asian women as sex slaves to prominent businessmen.

I read the second in the series of The Sisterhood first and thought it was a great premise for a series of women getting justice for themselves. Unfortunately after that first moderately good read, the next two i tried to read were terrible. There are too many characters that if you haven't read the series in order, the reader sometimes has no idea who they are. In both of the next two books i read, including Free Fall, it took much too long to get into the mystery and the revenge story, especia ...more

When the book first opened up talking about Yoko & her revenge & her Japanese routines, I kinda thought I was in for some kind of ninja scenario where she was going to go on a killing spree....but it shaped up a bit differently. Much more creative, and less bloody.

I wasn't aware when I was given the book, that it was #7 in a series though. I'm thinking books/audiobooks need to have a very big number on them announcing what number in a series it is because I really don't have the time to

Seventh in the Sisterhood series, this one avenges Yoko. Her biological father bought her mother as a 15yr old girl in Japan and then had her work in his sex club. This is a quick revenge. Seemed the focus of the book was more on moving the team to their new headquarters in Spain.

I always like books by Fern Michaels. Lots of imagination! This one involves a group of ladies and one man who scheme to right some wrongs. For each of the "sisters", somebody treated her badly and needs to be put in his place. The Sisterhood devises a way to get their revenge, and get away with it. They've done it before, and quite successfully. But this time, something goes wrong.....

This is book #7 in a series called,"Revenge of the Sisterhood". My book club wanted to read it, and many of the

This is the first one in the series that I read. Perhaps if I had read others I may have rated it higher. I skimmed most of it.

My favorite book so far of the Sisterhood!!!!

I've really enjoyed the Sisterhood Series. Yoko, a very interesting woman of her own right, get's her justice this time. Yoko's mother was a sex slave left to die by her father, a famous actor. Not only does he dabble in sex with underage foreign girls, he also runs a profitable side business fulfilling orders from others who are so inclined. Yoko wanted to know who her father was and as she did and she found herself in the process. The revenge taken on her father was really well done and as int ...more

Slick, slippery scum doesn't always dwell at the bottom of ponds, sometimes it walks among us disguised as someone good and wholesome. This is a lesson the Sisterhood will learn as they met up to avenge the wrongs done to one of their own. Their mission takes them into a world where depravity and atrocities done to innocents are an every day occurrence. Meanwhile, those meddling reporters are continuing to cause problems at every turn which may lead the Sisters to being caught.

Apparently this book is one of a series of action/adventure books with females as the lead characters. I didn't realize this when I got the book and it does not mention that it is #7 in a series on the front cover.
I liked the fact that women were the lead characters and were involved in some exciting adventures.
However, by not reading the previous 6 books in this series, I missed something and it was
hard to piece the story line together.

All of the Sisterhood series are good. I look forward to every one of them so far. I did note a couple of errors in #7, but since it was a paper book, I did not keep track of them and I am certainly not going to highlight a library book,

Yoko's mother was a sex slave left to die by her father, a famous actor. Not only does he dabble in sex with underage foreign girls, he also runs a profitable side business fulfilling orders from others who are so inclined.Yoko wanted to know who her fathers was and she did and she found herself in the process. The revenge taken on her father was priceless and as interesting as Yoko herself.

The next mission for the Sisterhood involves Yoko Akia's mother who at the tender age of 15 s swept away by a dashing and very wealthy man who promised her the world. Unfortunately she learned the hard way that all is not what it seems. Now the ladies are searching for America's most famous movie star who has fooled the world into thinking he is 'the perfect role model'.

I like where this one went in the end. I was worried that it might fizzle and was pleased that it did not.

It is a bit difficult at points because of the nature of the case they are working on and I was unsatisfied with its outcome, but the overall storyline ends great.

I am glad certain characters are involved now and can contribute to the cases.

This was the final book (I think) in the sisters who took revenge and destroyed the people who had hurt them...you have to had read the previous stories to understand it all....good ending....those girls did alot of damage to people who deserved it! very quick and easy read just to pass the time....nothing too deep....

So this is supposed the last of the revenges of the sisterhood. Of course, things go wrong right from the beginning of the story, but all works out at the end and the sisterhood will continue on a 'higher' basis. I liked what the women did to the man (and some of his compatriots) who is the subject of the revenge.
Lara Hafen
Overall I liked the book. It was mindless entertainment for a few hours and I liked the women's friendship.

The writing itself is not strong (both in grammar/construction and storytelling flaws), but since it's a fast-read/skimming kind of book, it didnt bother me. Great for the beach or an evening in.

Fern Michaels isn’t a person. I’m not sure she’s an entity either since an entity is something with separate existence. Fern Michaels® is what I DO. Me, Mary Ruth Kuczkir. Growing up in Hastings, Pennsylvania, I was called Ruth. I became Mary when I entered the business world where first names were the order of the day. To this day, family and friends call me Dink, a name my father gave me when I ...more
