I read this Catherine series whilst away from home at university in the seventies. I loved them all and couldnt wait to find out what happened to Catherine and if she would ever marry Arnaud. The charachters are well formed and the book is full of historical accuracy..but more than that they were a joy to read and writing this review has made me want to read them all over again.
