from Our Hearts Are Power Ballads:

WE BELONG IN A MOVIE

My thumbs and index fingers
set up location shots:
pizza parlor tricks, coffee house fires,
apartment inferiority complexes.

On our first and last date, you said a ghost
haunted your living room; I should have asked for proof.

I will finally cure the cancer of regret
as our memory falls into champagne flutes.

Hardly 10 pages. Natural flow of thoughts. Excellent choice of words and comparisons. Loved the titles and amazing endings to all poems. If you into poetry read this one.

A free download offered by Artistically Declined Press, a growing small-press favorite of mine, Our Hearts Are Power Ballads is a short (12 pages total), poignant, sometimes indecipherable collection of poems. Absolutely worth the read.
