As a child, I remember liking the few Nancy Drew mysteries I read, so when I got the chance to read this, I was excited to see how I'd get on with it. Luckily, I really enjoyed the story, plot, pacing and writing style.
Unlike The Secret of the Old Clock, I thought this story was well written and didn't talk down to the reader. I also liked how the writing covered the mystery up a little more, making it harder to see who the culprit actually was. To me, this made the story
