Great read

This book initially followed Petrakis style. That being the traditional Greek tales. The last story was very emotional and involves you in a family situation whereby an only son joins the Marines to fight in the Iraq war. The reader becomes one of the family. Petraeus does an admirable job in conveying the emotions of the characters.

I met this author at Moraine Valley Community College and was thoroughly impressed with his own life and times, an older Greek author and native Chicagoan. I find his writing very empathetic and nostalgic.
