I used to think that RL should have made these books more realistic and not to scifish, but after reading this one, he should stick with science fiction! Reading the cover and the first few pages, I could already predict the end. I can sum up the book in one sentence: A Group of friends try to scare a girl. That's it. Book over, go to bed. It's nice to see their multiple attempts and I did like the fact that there were several characters. This book I'd put in the "Goosebumps Starters Kit" list,...more

This one is a bore. It's all just kid mischief and trying to get back at a popular, confident girl who keeps embarrassing the narrator. The kid gets into trouble without getting any kind of results. Even the usual Stine twist at the end is predictable, and doesn't really scare you. The only redeeming feature is that my name is, of course, Ed, and there was a popular girl in my classes back then named Courtney. But even that can't save this from total drudgery.

Ahhh, the Goosebump days. I would borrow so many of these from the library they seriously considered extending my limit of books checked out at one time. R.L. Stine you were a reprieve from a harsh and dreary childhood in which my mind wandered far away from the troubles of the day. I stole books into my bed and read far into the night by the faintest of lights. I might have better eyesight were it not for you; however, I regret not one page or line.

I was hooked on these series as a kid. I remember when this first book came out and all the hype surrounding it, and quickly joined in on scarfing these things down. They were fun at the time, although even in grade school they had me rolling my eyes at some of the goofiness (and the cliffhanger chapter endings! Every chapter, without fail!).

there was this girl and shes like not scared of anything then 4 friends triend to scare her youll be scared what they tried if they do it to you and th e author are great he used some discriptive words it was cool... if you want to find out what they tried to do then read read read!

Though it reeks of classic Stine storytelling, it lacks the innovation and fun that the best Goosebumps titles bring to the table. Forgettable characters, an iffy mythology, and no real punch of an ending, it's a good thing that this one is bookended by much better stories.

Actual rating: 2.5 stars. This book would have been great had it focused on the mud people. It's a great legend, but it's only really brought up in the last third of the book (even though the description plays it up as a huge part). The first 2/3 of the book is just these kids attempting to scare a girl and, honestly, it's kind of boring.

You Can't Scare Me! was a huge disappointment. I usually enjoy most of the goosebumps books. They tend to be brilliant page turners but this was not what I was expecting. Go find another book.

This is the first Goosebumps book I ever read. Sadly and strangely enough, reading this in the third grade I decided that instead of growing up to be a classical composer I would become a writer instead.

Novel Goosebumps paling jelek yang pernah kubaca. R.L. Stine sedang mati ide atau bagaimana? Kupikir bakal seseram novel-novelnya yang lain, nyatanya datar-datar saja.

Benar-benar "percuma menakut-nakutiku!"

Goosebumps was so popular when I was a kid, we would get in fights in the library over who got to check the new one out next. No joke.

A scare for one turns into a scare for all. I loved the idea behind the book, character development was good as well.
