As far as I can remember, this is the first novel I read. ha ha you may laugh, but it's true, even since I was a kid I like the ghost story, mystery, or something related to the death or darkness thing (ha ha creepy ya??) I read this novel when I was in the third year of primary school, my mother brought me to the bookstore near a bank (at that time she's gonna save some money and had to patiently get in a long queue, jadi supaya saya anteng dibeliinlah saya buku ini)

Dari sekian banyak Goosebump...more

Salah satu buku Goosebumps fave! Smpe skrg msh ada buku ini, walo udh agak lecek.. Dan sedikit menguning kertas nya. Hehe..

Cerita nya ttg Gary yg benci bngt ma hdup nya.. Ada adik cewek nya yg nyebelin, tmn2 nya yg super jahil yg slalu jahatin dia. Hdup ny yang rumit.. Sampai suatu hari Gary leat iklan di internet.. Ttg liburan tukar tubuh. Nah, bingung kan? Begitu jg dg Gary,. Tpi akhirnya dia setuju jg.. Dia diatur buat tukaran tubuh ma anak cowok.. Dia butuh org buat ngerjain tgs2 dan ujian n...more

While the body switching plot is ridiculous, the idea of a kid being turned into a bee is very neat. It's written very well (the bee information is accurate) and has a good ending.

This was the first chapter book I ever read. I had always been behind in my classes reading-wise, til my older brother unknowingly motivated me to want to read big kid books-Goosebumps to be exact. It took me the entire day after school to read (only stopping to eat a tuna fish sandwich made by my mom), but I read this book in one day in second grade. I was so proud and happy. This book taught me the wonders and gift of reading, though certainly not known to me at the time. I never had trouble r...more

Well its a cute little story. Somehow reading this kids life as a bee helped me escape my life as a human..

The story is about a kid who accidentally switches bodies with a bee, that's pretty much it in a nutshell. The title is misleading because we dont actually get an explanation as to why he's afraid of bees. But overall its not a bad book. Not scary, not that suspenseful. If you want to start kids of on Goosebumps with a book that isn't too freighting, this would b...more

Read this back when I was nine years old, during a study hall where I hadn't brought a book from home. Even then, I recall thinking how utterly lame and tepid the story was. Seriously, someone thought this even remotely qualified as horror, even for kids?!

Beyond that, it's a generic, unimaginative kid's tale with the morale "be thankful for what you have!" Like the rest of RL Stine's works, it's an utter hack-job that he wrote in under a month. (New Goosebumps were released once a month for 4 y...more

Is very descriptive, I like the idea of feeling like another creature and being natural, like other bees do not talk to him, and he feels connected, in-tuned with his insect body; and more than anything is an original story. How many people would give anything to change their life and then most of them, when they have that chance, they realize how amazing and special their own circumstances and lives are and they start to value themselves. After passing different adventures coming back to yourse...more

This book is pretty predictable as well as suspenseful at the same time. Gary is an unpopular boy at school as well as back home. No body likes him and he wishes to change himself. One day he comes across an ad that says that he is able to switch places with another person's body and a muscular boy named Dirk comes along and offers to switch with him. Gary successfully... but with a bee! R.L. Stine is trying to tell us that we shouldn't chage ourselvces no matter how bad we think our lives are b...more

Well this was different. I liked that it wasn't sacry like the others. I mean for Gary it would have been, but no to readers. Well unless you are afraid of bees. It does give a good perspective on a bee's way of life. Pretty interesting. I liked that there was a life leason in this book. Be happy with what you got. I didn't really get the end unless it meant that he still had a little bit of bee tendencies. It was a alright read, not super exciting or anything. I did th...more

Ahhh, the Goosebump days. I would borrow so many of these from the library they seriously considered extending my limit of books checked out at one time. R.L. Stine you were a reprieve from a harsh and dreary childhood in which my mind wandered far away from the troubles of the day. I stole books into my bed and read far into the night by the faintest of lights. I might have better eyesight were it not for you; however, I regret not one page or line.

I was hooked on these series as a kid. I remember when this first book came out and all the hype surrounding it, and quickly joined in on scarfing these things down. They were fun at the time, although even in grade school they had me rolling my eyes at some of the goofiness (and the cliffhanger chapter endings! Every chapter, without fail!).

One of Stine's lesser works. He has much better books. I suggest you skip this one. Go for Night of the Living Dummy or Say Cheese and Die!.

Buen entretenimiento.

Wow. So many things happening in the beginning of this relatively small Goosebumps book. There's a crazy man next door who is a beekeeper. I will only be able to think of Eddie Izzard whenever anyone says "covered in bees." I think Gary needs to not take ALL the jokes he gets at his expense personally. Some of the kids at school are very mean to him.

This was probably the worse book I have read for this series. I didn't find it all that interesting and the ending was disappointing.
I will read the rest of the series but I do hope they get back to being good as some of the previous books I've read.

This has to be my favorite book of Goosebumps. The main character wants to switch life with another kid. He switches life but there was an incident. He accidently switches life with a bee. He has to do everything he can to get his old life back.

This is the only Goosebumps book I can clearly remember reading. It was pretty awesome. About a boy who becomes a bee (in case you couldn't figure that out from the cover). And apparently, even when I was 10 I still thought bees were cool.

Gary was turned into a bee by mistake. He lived as a bee for many day and it was a scary adventure. He was to be killed many times. Finally, he turned back into Gary agsin and appreciated his life.

Ah, those days when "pounding on" someone would only result in a call to the other boys parents and not a shooting. I notice that many of the Goosebumps books have some very violent bullying, though. o_O

I was a late reader, and this was the first chapter book I ever finished. I am sure it is terrible, but it will always hold a very special place is my heart.

Goosebumps was so popular when I was a kid, we would get in fights in the library over who got to check the new one out next. No joke.
