Jaclyn used to live with her aunt Greta in Chicago. But not anymore. They've moved to a place called Sherpia. It's a tiny village on the edge of the Arctic Circle.
Jaclyn can't believe she's stuck out in Nowheresville. No movie theaters. No malls. No nothing. Plus, there's something really odd about the village.
At night there are strange howling noi

Little kids who don't mind terrible writing

"Beware, the Snowman" was full of terrible suspense and awful writing. Each chapter ended with a cliffhanger that turned out to be no more than a scary shadow or a creaky branch, not to mention the horrible topic.
I was a little bored before bed, so I picked up this book for a little scare. I didn't know how "little" that scare would be.

This book made me realize how much more fun Goosebumps TV show would have been had it been a cartoon (or as their calling it now: animated series")instead of real actors. The book had more twists than an old pretzel. It was fun. Living in a snowy state during winter, I can relate to all the snow. Everything is connected. In other books I've said to skip the first few chapters as their pretty much meaningless, but for this one every chapter is important in telling the story. We have a girl w...more
I love Goosbumps! I remember reading these as a kid and I enjoyed reading this just as much as an adult. I recommend this book for an advanced reader. There are no illustrations and this is a chapter book. This book really had me on the edge of my seat. A little girl moves to a town where there's hardly any people, but in every yard there are these identical snowmen. Her mother taught her a poem before she died to beware of the snowman. Refusing to take heed of everyones warnings, she makes her ...more
Another good goosebumps book.
Basically, a girl named Jaclyn and her brother move to an isolated mountain town called Sherpia, and soon are told that an evil snowman lives at the top of the mountain. Overcome with curiosity, Jaclyn ventures up the mountain to see if the townspeople's suspicions are true.
I love all the Goosebumps books, but I'll be honest, this wasn't one of Stine's best. I wasn't too frightened or thrilled about the plot. If you get scared easily and are looking for an only slightly thrillin...more

Goosebumps, Beware, The Snowman, written by R. L. Stine, is yet another thrilling, bone chilling adventure in R.L. Stines’s collection. This book follows Jaclyn as she tries to find out what all the strange noices in the middle of the night are. Each and every house in this new town has a snowman in the front yard, and each of the snomen has a horrible, evil smile. As always R. L. Stine captivates and scares his readers, this book is no different. Appropriate for children ages 9 to 12

I kind of liked this book. It about a girl who moved to a new village. But their are weird snowmans all over the place, the identical snowmans. She found two best friends. But when she tried to go to the mountain top her friends got freaked out. They didn't let her go they said that it's treacherous. Read the book to find out what's larking in the mountaintop and what's the mystery! I read that book in one day. Doesn't take that long to read it.
I love this book it tells me and scares me about a snowman. This is about a snowman who comes to life and starts to kill people such as childeren.this was a book i read one day during ms.woodards writtin lesson. I was kind of scared when i heard a snow man can come to life now i will never build a snowman in life i always have got nevors.you can find this book at the public libary.
With a cliffhanger at the end of each chapter, this supernatural tale of a girl sent to live in the Arctic Circle, is like a caricature of a Goosebumps book. I'm afraid I had to force myself to finish it, and I sort of wish I hadn't bothered.
It was a bit obvious where this was going at the end, but one of the more enjoyable Goosebumps books as it has a different setting than everday USA
eh it was ok. im really upset the last 2 books i read by him have been terrible.. i guess thats why i havent read these two as a child..

i learned that the girls grandmother had magic or was a witch that made the little girls dad a evil snowman
I Thought that in the middle/End it was confusing, then scary, and at the very end it was funny!!
Så lite skummelt at det er trist. Seriøst, snømenn!! Det er ikkje skummelt!
This book has the same impact as the other ones, funny, sacry, and horrific.
This book is good and the villain was so convincing that I believed him.
this is what is going to happened if we all wanted Frosty to be real
another great book by Rl Stine. First a evil snowman then a crazed old man with a wolf. This book was really made by Rl Stine. When then a girl discovers that she a sorceress, this book is so good that i could not describe so go ahead and read it.
it was a good book, with a happy ending! :)
