What can I say? If somehow you weren't hooked after Dead: The Ugly beginning, you have to be after this one.

I'm thrilled the author stuck to his guns against the biggest complaint - the amount of characters and perspectives. This is easily one of my favorite parts of the book - you're not just getting a story & perspective from one person, you're getting it from many, and they're VASTLY different. It may seem confusing at first, but as you begin to understand each person's personalities and

Taken from my blog:

I did a review on the first book , “Dead: The Ugly Beginning” a few blogs back and it was then that I fell in love with this series. However, I was hesitant to read the second book in the series because I was sure it wouldn’t measure up to the first. How could it? The first book was almost perfect in every way and I had a hard time putting it down! If I could have gotten my hands on an I.V. line and a catheter, I wouldn’t have put it down at all. But

My full DEAD: Revelations: DEAD, Book 2 audiobook review can be found at Audiobook Reviewer.

I am excited to rejoin Steve and his survivors, the geeks and their rescued girl Heather. I like the vignettes also, a good snap shot into the worse and the best of humanity.

DEAD: Revelations: DEAD, Book 2 begins with Steve and his group leaving the security of serenity base to find they’re lost friends. While it sounds like a typical scenario, the sequence of events up to and after their leaving makes it

This book was problematic for me in a number of ways.

The most egregious problem was the sickening way women were treated in the book. In a zombie book I expect a lot of violence, but I don't expect there to be as much violence against women (and young girls) as there is against the walking dead. Women getting treated as a commodity to be sexually exploited certainly isn't a new theme in apocalyptic stories, but none I've read have been quite as bad as this. There were no less than 4 women, or g

Book 2 in the series. This book took off right away from the first book. It didn't take very long to connect with all the characters again.
Mr. Brown has an amazing talent for building characters and then adding challenges. The zombies are not the forefront of the story, It's the people and how they adapt and cope. And sometimes the the bad guys aren't zombies too! I really love these books and can't wait to get my grubby little fingers on all the rest of the series! Plus you can't beat the price

T.w. brown has created a long list of characters to love and hate and feel sorry for. I am enthralled with the story and characters. Kevin has increasingly become a favorite as well as heather and Teresa. Love that he has created different point of views from good people and bad. I think he has created a world that if this happened the situations could happen such as with Garrett. I love this series keep them coming!
I read the Kindle version in January 2013 and just finished the audio version. After all this time and all the zombie lit I've read, this remains my favorite zombie series. My rating for this book remains a 5.

Mr. Brown writes vivid descriptive scenes with lots of action. But it's the character driven emotional impact that keeps me reading.

I was thrown a little by the covers. I thought they might be some of those silly unbelievable zombie books that I'm sure anyone that loves this genre, has come across. But I was pleasantly surprised! I have really enjoyed the 2 I have read so far. I'm totally involved with the characters and can't wait to start book 3. Thanks Todd for a very enjoyable series!

TW Brown's "Dead" series is one of the best that I have read. It's up there with Rhiannon Frater, D.J. Molles & J.L Bourne. All of these have books that I've had difficulty putting down and I could happily re-read their books.

It keeps getting better and better. The characters are thinning out and coming together. Looking forward to the next one. Definitely worth my time.

As good as the first but not better than it.

If you have read the first it doesn't come as a spoiler to say...

We continue jumping around between groups, IMO it takes away from the story . While the jumping from group to group is not 'bad' in and of itself there are just to many jumps and to many names. This isn't Game of Thrones where all these characters are spread out in 800 pages. When you do this in just 300 pages you feel a bit like you are constantly changing directions and never getting a

I find it lacks focus: I shudder everytime I start yet ANOTHER 'Vignettes.' An how come EVERY vignette seems to center around some sort of psychopatic weirdo survivor? It gets a little old. I think that's it for this series for me.

Even so, the 'main' storyline is interesting and engaging. I like the characters, and the way they sort of evolve as a group.

Still, it all boils down to the fact that whenever I had time to sit down and read, I found I really didn't want to pick this one up.

I'm sorry, but the way most of the women are treated brings this book down TERRIBLY. Yeah, I get it, crazy psychos love to torture and rape women. The only reason I'll continue reading those books is because I truly like Steve.

If you haven't read any of TW Browns books then you are missing out. The first jumped straight into the horror and suspense, no long drawn out beginning. Book 2 certainly disappoint and I went straight out and bought book 3.

Another awesome addition to the "Dead" series. I couldn't put this book down, and I can't wait to get going on the next one!!! T.W. Brown is an amazing author!

Also, thanks for the box sets. It makes it easier for me to be able to read the whole series on a limited budget!

Book one was great, and book two was even better. I'm becoming a huge fan of this author. I cant wait to read the next installment to see what happens to some of my favorite post apocalyptic characters. Hope Steve makes it home. No spoilers please.
