It's a gay coming of age story set in U.K., and the narrator is a likeable wise-ass with a disfunctional family. It's a quick, enjoyable read, but it's not all that memorable, and the vernacular prose can get a little grating (it's in the first person, and the narrator tends to use the word "like" like a whole lot). But it was fun. A nice palate cleanser after On Beauty.

This book was about a gay male who ran away from home. He met a man who was older than him but the older man couldn't accept the boy's age. It was kind of like Catcher in the Rye because the protagonist thought really negatively about his life. He also had a little sister and a family who didn't accept his orientation in the beginning.

boring! this book should have totally been in the teen section of the library rather than LGBT fiction.
coming out stories get so tired. the only think that kept me reading was the well-done cover art and my obsessive anglo-philia (it was a good peek into a part of working/middle class London life), but other than that, avoid this book.

An endearing and relateable coming of age story, I really enjoyed it, very well written and I related with Jazz quite a lot. Will Davis fully captures a teenager's feeling with sharp, witty, sarcastic writing.

A personal view of what it's like to be a teenage gay boy in high school. I think I would have liked it more if I were 17 myself--teenagers are just too high on themselves and it makes me feel old.

this is a great comtemporary coming of age/coming out story I'm glad to see more books like this coming out. Also very funny, a great first novel.

The prose gave me a migraine. It was like reading a disorganized essay written by someone only partially literate.

eh. a quick light read but it's written in teenage dialect which just made me feel old. i'm never using 'like' again...
