Dream House, by Rochelle Krich B.
Purchased as a cassette book from Blackstone Audio Books.
This is the second in the Molly Blume series. Very very cozy, but interesting anyway. Molly Blume is a true crime writer and writes a police column for a community paper in L.A. as well. In this, her second book, she is getting to know Zach, the rabbi she marries in a later book. Molly became curious about a bunch of vandalism charges involving houses, all of which seemed to belong to board members of HARP,...more

I love this series, and highly recommend it. The main character Molly Blume is Jewish and a crime reporter. The author does an outstanding job of incorparating Jewish customs into the story without it being forced. But this book hits so many of my pet peeves I did not enjoy it. Another book that I would definately give a 3.5 to. I really like this series for a few reasons. 1. it is clean : no sex, no swearing. 2. They are good mysteries, but not so deep that you have to really think about it. You can just sit and enjoy them, like a Mary Higgens Clark 3. I love the little insights into Greek Orthodox Jews (the main character is a practicing member). I have found it very interesting.
After all of that, they are what they are, a basic and simple mystery. I will definately...more

Audiobook:
I love this series and especially the lead character, Mollie. The writing and the storylines are very strong and the characters well developed.
This was my least favorite of the books I have read in this series, so far. Only because I wasn't that interested in hearing about home remodel projects. The mystery, however, was excellent.
