Every time I see my three year old cousin I take a stack of books to read. I usually spread them out and let him chose in which order he would like to hear them. This title and Bizzy Bear: Off We Go! had to be pried from his grip before I could read them. He was quick to declare before ever hearing one word of text that, "Like these books, can I keep them?". Thankfully we have a well established rule that none of the books can be kept and that I won't bring the same title twice so we have to enj ...more

Why is he Bizzy? Why can't he be Busy Bear?

Aside from that, which really does nag at me, we love this book. The construction of the moving parts is exceptionally sturdy, which I cannot rate highly enough when it comes to Lu. The illustrations have a nice combination of being full of things to look at, but still simple enough that it's obvious what's going on (it reminds me a little of Richard Scarry in that sense).

This is quite possibly my son's favorite book. However, he has yet to begin talking so this is just an assumption based on the huge smile he wears while he manipulates the moveable cardboard inserts with his tiny fingers. This short story is filled with rhymes that I prefer to read to my son utilizing my best Busta Rhymes impersonation, although I probably sound more like Eminem. I highly recommend. Not Eminem, Bizzy Bear.
Bizzy Bear's working hard at the buliding site! Join the fun in this sturdy book with sliders and tabs to push and pull.
