Summary: Third-grader Stuey Lewis navigates the ups and downs of school and family life. (Stuey's dad lives in another state as their parents are divorced.) I did find it odd that the kids refer to their teacher by her first name, Ginger.

Good for grades 2 -3

Book could be used as a read aloud with each of the 4 sections could be used as a stand alone.

Give Me Space - As the class learns about space, Stuey and his family arrange a e-field trip with his dad who works at the space center in Florid...more

Stuey moves up to third grade with the same teacher, the same buddies, and the same know-it-all classmate introduced in The One and Only Stuey Lewis (2011). Similarly structured, with four connected stories that cycle through the school year, this volume shows Stuey facing some practical difficulties arising from his parents' divorce, and solving his problems creativel...more

Stuey Lewis is a 3rd grader who wants to impress everyone. In order to do so, he's got to think of solutions for how to teleport his class to a field trip with his dad, flying on an airplane for the 1st time, getting his mom the perfect Mother's Day gift, and participating in his class' pet show with no pet.

(The characters seem a little babyish for being 3rd graders- I have/had a 3rd grader)

Stuey is in 3rd grade and is pretty realistic. In one section they are studying space and there is a good deal of information about space worked in. He loves his teacher, hates a girl in his class, hangs with his best friend etc. Good for 1-3 grade.

In four short stories, Stuey is dealing with the challenges of third grade ranging from how to transport his entire class to Georgia where his dad runs a space station for a class field trip to finding the perfect pet for the class pet show. Reviewer 16

This is a very engaging book that was well written. I fully expect this to be a book that is in high demand from my third graders in the fall.

A fun chapter book. Reading level easy enough for a third graders to read independently.
