The Gods of Chaos series continued to intrigue and amuse me with this second volume. Even though there were fewer plot twists than in the first one, it held its own. The focus in Dance with the Devil is firmly on the inner turmoil and the character growth of Archer, the man being tested, reformed or taught a lesson, whichever wording you prefer. It fits the series theme of finding redemption from your sins really well.

Archer is a bit of an airhead at first. He gets severely punished - 3 months...more

typical gabrielle evans serial romance. nothing fantastic, nothing so bad it can't be finished. what is typical gabrielle evans? imagine a shorter harlequin romance but with no t&a (see, i was going to write no surprise pregnancies, but... yeah.).

out of sheer laziness, i will be using this as my template for all books by :

Несколько хуже, чем первая книга, но все равно довольно забавная книга. Хотя мне очень не понравилась моральная дилемма в конце - сначала героя омайндтричить, чтобы он совершил преступление, потом долго и со вкусом его наказывать, а потом еще пафосно вещать, что так тебе и надо, заслужил - как-то это лицемерно.

Isn't as good as the first one. It had a great premise, but somehow it wasn't explored enough. It feels like the characters of Archer and Levi aren't really explored (and being horny really isn't a personality trait). The plot lumbers along and the whole thing feels like an uninspired journey from point A to point B.

Pathos was really adorable and funny though, and pretty much took the cake for the entire book. Which makes it a bit sad, because he appears for something like 10 pages and stole all...more

Gabrielle Evans grew up in a small town in southern Oklahoma. We’re talking one red light that may or may not work depending on the day of the week. She married her high school sweetheart and the rest is pretty much history. They have two very active boys and one high-strung wiener dog that keeps her constantly on the go. For now, Gabrielle parks her car in north-central Texas, but who knows what...more
