The Zombie Apocalypse is occurring. "RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! There everywhere." " BRAINS." The book is about a group of five friends named: Zack, Ozzie, Zoe, Madison, and Rice. This group of friends are running for their lives from zombies. The plot in this story is to try and stay alive, and to rescue everyone that changed into a zombie and change them back into a human again. The theme of "The Zombie Chasers Sludgment Day" is all about survival and making smart actions. This book is an interesting ...more

The fight against the living dead goes cross country in "Zombie Chasers; Sludgement Day". The Clarke siblings and their ragtag band of teenagers have developed a cure to the recent zombie outbreak and are on the move, road trip style. With the cure in tow, they visit several different U.S. landmarks and try to uncover the secret of the infection.

God I love this book. Regardless of its' reading level, you can't deny its' strange, slimy appeal. I really appreciate how the female characters are use

Sludgement Day by John Kloepfer is a great book. It is about this kid named Zack. After coming from school one day Zack soon finds out that a zombie outbreak has occurred. He finds friends and together they fight the flesh-eating zombies.

I thought that this book was good. I liked how there was action and that there was some very important parts in the book. I also liked how that there was a cure to the virus so the series didn't go on for to long. I'd give this book 4.5 stars.

I recommend this

Two days after the zombie apocalypse has begun, siblings Zac and Zoe along with their friends Rice, Madison and Ozzie, are ready to save the world. They have the antidote! (Details about that can probably be found in Volume 2.) Now they have to drive across the zombie-infested United States to replicate the antidote and cure all the zombies. Yes, this is for younger readers. The zombies are to be fought off and contained but not killed. Kloepfer is able to strike a precarious balance between gro ...more

Kloepfer, John. The Zombie Chasers: Sludgment Day. (#3)
Zach's parents (and most of the world) have been turned into zombies, but Zach and his friends have the antidote and are ready to save the world! First they have to drive across the country and locate the food scientist Duplessis, who helps them make more antidote as well as antizombification popcorn (it looks like brains, right?). During their trip to get there, they meet up with zombie Elvis impersonators, have a show down in the Mall of A

Young Reader Reaction: Our reader spent more time with the drawings than the writing. She kept asking "what's happening" and we kept saying "you need to read to find out." Eventually, she settled into the book, but got bored about halfway through.

Adult Reader Reaction: The story got repetitious quickly. Some of the humor - like zombie Elvis' taking over Memphis - was lost on our reader. In general, the story covers a lot of the "usual" ground in preteen books, particularly between Zack and his s

The 3rd book in the Zombie Chasers series. This book is rated for 8-12yr olds and I think they may have been very generous in that assessment. It's predictable, stupid, disgusting, and uses super small words. My almost 6yr old is ready to start reading them as they definitely appeal to him and the vocabulary is simple enough that he won't need much help. The downside, I'll have to listen to them.

If you have a child in the marketed age range that is looking for total fluff and is just starting to

Zack,Zoe,Rice,Madison, and Ozzie wanted to go to Montana to get the cure to the man who created burger dog but its really far, so they bought a RV for 10,000 and started their stop, then they made a stop at mall and there were bullies there so they took what they can and continued the trip.
Crys (The Hodgenator)
The saga continues...

Can the kids get the cure to those who need it before they themselves become zombies?

With a trip that includes zombie Elvis impersonators, a purchase of a Winnebago, a visit to Mall of America, a giant Ketchup bottle involving a tornado, and the headquarters that started it all, fans of the series will find themselves satisfied.

The illustrations that accompany this novel help enhance the storytelling, bringing it to a new level of grossness, which is why young readers will e
