I read this with my 6 and 3 year olds before bedtime. This sweet story for early readers of chapter books shows that wishes can come true, but not always in the way you expect. Sophie lives in a tall, tall building overlooking a city park. In the middle of the park is an amazing pet store named the Ark in the Park, run by Mr. and Mrs. Noah. While Sophie dreams impossible dreams of owning a pet and having cousins and grandparents, the childless Noahs long for grandchildren. Their wishes come true...more
A sweet book about an older couple who own a pet store and wish for a child, and a 7-year-old girl who loves pets and wishes for grandparents. Not as entertaining as Orr's Mokie and Bik. Ages 5-8.

I"m to old for this book but I fell in love with the book. Read it over and over and over and over again.
A lovely story about how wishes can come true, just not in the way you expect.
