Ahh! The cover has been revealed!

The first is still my favorite, but this cover is so much better than the second.

Excuse me, I'm having an emotional breakdown.

Seriously, Jennifer, WHAT THE FUCK.

I can't believe it. I can't even write a review of this book because my emotions are colliding in a chemical reaction of rage, anger, sadness and depression.

I loved the first book in this series. I really did. I

Is there going to be another book to this series? Because this checked firmly into Heartbreak Hotel and I'm going to be very sad if that's what we're ending on. :( Fantastic book but geez. You want to stomp all over Bryn some more Barnes? Sure you don't need one last kick in? 4 stars

Oh. My. God.

I give Taken by Storm 4.5 stars on account of the the structure, the writing and the words and phrases used.

But for the actual story itself? The conclusion? The last 42 pages?

Are you kidding me Jennifer? Did you really just ruin this series for me?!?

Not only did you kill Chase, Bryn's one true love and mate, but throughout the book their was barely any mention of him! He spoke at the maximum of ten times with the maximum of two god damn words! Then you t

Oh my freaking goodness SERIOUSLY WHYYY! of all people to kill of why him as quiet and slightly mysterious his character was (not going to say who dont want to spoil it for people who havent read it) i thoroughly enjoyed him and bryns scenes together and how protective he was of her and how he loved her so simply and how no matter what put her first (ok pretty of obvious who im talking about right?? im just soo suprised and gutted though i do respect that though there were alot of scenes were th ...more

Full review to come in June (hopefully)

All I have to say is this better not be the last book. That ending is great for a cliff hanger-ish type but not for an ending of a series.

This book is incredibly epic. Suspenseful. Rife with mystery and pack politics and all those good things we’ve come to know and love from the first two books.
Seriously. I wish I hadn’t read his book. In a couple days, or weeks, or months, after I’ve had time to cool down and get over the ending, I’ll understand why it happened and that, yes everything that happened made sense and had to happen and blah-di-blah-di-blah.
But I will never, ever forgive this ending.

Oh My…GOD. Where to start with this review, as most know I have been in love with this series from the first book, I loved Bryn’s feisty attitude and Devon’s personality, and of course how could I not mention Lake, she may not be physically strong in comparison to the other werewolves but she is fast and loves her guns. Jennifer Lynn Barnes has out done herself in this book.

In Taken by Storm, the setting takes place a few months after Lucas challenges Bryn. Bryn is called to a council meeting w
Not so much a review as a quick commentary. This final (from what I understand) book in the trilogy is the best of them and I enjoyed (and have re-read) the first two. I'm having a hard time putting into words why this series has stuck with me but it definitely has. The story arc is good but there is something about the writing that makes me think very hard about all the other YA books I've read and what the reader takes away from them, consciously or subconsciously. The ending? Yeah, I was sooo ...more

I wasnt expecting much of the book, but it surprised me. Out of the 3 books, I think this one is the best in the series so far.

Everything starts when Shay calls a Senate meeting because theres a new Rabid on the loose, but what really matters is that the Rabid is a female. So of course everyone asks Bryn if any of her females are missing and that where everything gets tricky...

Bryn accepted Maddie leaving at the end of book 2, and she fears she may be the Rabid. Shes set on finding her in the ho
Oh my Gosh .......................Okay i am routing for Devon cause he is just the better choice he took a bullet for chase !!!! and i secretly think he is in love with Bryn or really likes her hoping !! but i sorry but chase we don't know alot about him and idk i have a eird feeling about him ... besides dev is caring and is the one that understands that he can't just leave the pack and go run away or should i say just protect bryn but that is very romantic I Serously trust dev more hope he and ...more

I love the cover, but her hair looks really dry even though it's supposedly pouring rain on the cover. Maybe I'm being too technical.
I still love the cover though, and it probably wouldn't be as pretty if her hair was soaking wet!
 Tina (Fantastic Book Review)
Let me start off by saying that this has to be one of the best werewolf series that I've read. Barnes has an amazing talent when it comes to getting inside the characters' head and portraying every emotion where it resonates with the reader.

I can’t tell you how much I love strong heroines and Brynn is one of my favorites. This girl has been through it all. She handles everything that comes her way like the alpha that she is. In Brynn’s case, that doesn’t always mean that her decisions don’t have
First and foremost, a very important issue needs to be addressed. For those of you, like me, who are wondering if there is going to be a fourth book in the Raised by Wolves series, here is what Barnes has to say: “I knew that this book would, in many ways, be a conclusion to the plot lines, questions, and character arcs that started in the first two. I can’t say for sure that this is the last book I’ll ever write about Bryn, but I can say that I would be happy with it as a finale if it were.” *p ...more

I see some of the reviewers have given this one a low rating because of how the book ends, but I really didn't mind it. (view spoiler)
I still loved the story.
I would love to read more about what happens next, but it doesn't look like any other books are in the works (yet?). Since this is the only series Barnes has written
Heartbreakingly sad and incredibly angsty, this could not have been any more different from the first two books. The storyline was more complex. It was more serious and deep and it really demonstrated how much Bryn had developed to become the person she is now. I really appreciate the author's ability to actually do that; however I did not appreciate her killing off one of my favorite characters (even though it fits and is deeply moving). That was just cruelty. Other than that, it was just amazi ...more
It was so good but now I'm craving book 4! At least I'm hoping there will be a fourth book!!!

Definitely the best cover of the three, even though they all look the exact same.

I wish I could post a review without giving stars. Sometimes it’s hard to separate my reaction to a book from the actual quality of a book. Five stars for writing quality. 2 stars for likeability. The writing was tight, extremely fast paced. The conflict was introduced almost immediately. I think the author beautifully paints pictures with words. I also wish I hadn’t read the book. First, I could have put the book down any time in the first 200 pages and not felt bad if I didn't get back to it. ...more

I can't believe she did that. I can't believe she went there, but Jennifer Lynn Barnes went there and then some. I turned into a crying, snotty mess reading this book. There's a reason this is my second favorite shifter series and Barnes proved that so much while I was reading this book.

I don't even want to say too much because there's just too much that is too easy to spoil. Besides, just thinking about it makes me start crying again.

All I can say is, that the book picks up a few months after w

I was thinking about a change and I wrote a small chapter on the unconscious part of her changing (if it happens). It goes like this:

I woke up by Dead Man's Creek again. This was becoming unconscious routine, I thought, looking around.
Why am I here?
I couldn't remember being knocked out.
Why am I knocked out? Oh lord, I might be missing something!
I started worrying. What was going on while I was unconscious? I reached out to Chase desper
I have come to the end of yet another series. Now I have to say goodbye to characters that kept me company for several hours. In the case of this particular trilogy, I can't say I'm truly satisfied with how they ended up. They could have gotten a better ending. In some cases, they deserved a better ending.

I think the thing that frustrates me the most in this book is that Callum went from likeable, in the first book, to borderline despicable in this one, without ever really becoming an antagonist
