I absolutely loved this book. Not just because it had me laughing out loud, and because the characters were so HOT together. A lot of it had to do with the personal memories I have of living in Australia for six months – it brought all of them back. Well, not the bits that took part in the bush and on the remote farm, but from the mention of bug spray in the plane just before landing and the airport in Sydney, where Gary arrives, to all the places he and Bruce visit when they’re ‘in town’, it ma...more

I enjoyed this quick, short read and thought the humor in it was really fun. I liked all of the characters (well, except Craig's bratty little girl). Bruce is a model that travels to LA from Australia for a photoshoot where he meets photographer's assistant, Gary Holland.
I thought this was a cute story and I enjoyed all of the Aussie phrases and (view spoiler) A very nice short story.

It's always interesting reading about your own country through the eyes of a stranger. In this case only half a stranger, as unlike the narrator, AJ was actually (apparently) born here. This has enabled him to be aware of the differences between the two countries and he slots those into this amusing romp.
At times, it reminded me of one of those movies that hops from place to place with gay abandon, bringing in every possible landmark, no matter how far apart, but I excuse it on the fact that the...more

A GREAT fun romp through the wilds of the Australian outback! I think I laughed through the whole story, but especially the end (which I won't describe for those who haven't read the story yet)! I'm not sure where Mr Llewellyn gets his inspiration from, but I wish I had a little of it. If laughter is 'the best medicine' everyone should run out and get sick right away to enjoy the healing process!
