Ein kleiner, schreibblockierter Autor im Schatten eines sehr großen. Er nennt ihn nur 'Goethe' weil er ein allgegenwärtiger Geistesriese ist, dem der Kleine vergeblich nacheifert. Der Große ist trotzdem mit ihm befreundet, und bietet ihm eine einmalige Chance. Er soll 'Goethe' bei einem Schreibseminar vertreten und bekommt, um besagtes Seminar zu leiten, eine Mappe mit 'Goethes' Schreibgeheimnis. Hinter dem alle anderen Seminarteilnehmer natürlich her sind.

This is actually my second reading of this book. This time the copy belonged to me and I marked all the places that I enjoyed and wanted to find again when needed.
For this is a book written for writers and it can be referred to whenever you're feeling small and in the shadow of all the world's great authors. Klasse Idee, den Protagonisten je nach dem Charakter Namen von Klassikern zuzuweisen. Habe oft über die Sticheleien gegen den Literaturbetrieb gelacht und mich mit dem erfolglosen Autor / Kursleiter solidarisch verbunden gefühlt. Es sind für meinen Geschmack jedoch ein paar unnötige Längen vorhanden, ansonsten flüssig, oft sogar poetisch, geschrieben. Fazit: Ich würde auch gerne "Leichtschreiben" im Spreewald lernen, aber möge mir ein "Schwamm" erspart bleiben.
