The overall rating for the series is 4 butterflies. I had a great time reading these books, I had fun, I got a healthy dose of smutty galore, and I was very, very glad I got a chance to read them.
If I were to say what genre they’d go in, since people are always big on tags and stuff like that, I’d think these are romance with a sci-fi-ish twist, and not the other way around. There is a lot going on in each book, and there’s a whole universe weaved for them, but I feel the main element is the rom...more

Actually 3.5 stars.

This was a really fun book. Not deep, not innovative, just a lot of fun. I enjoyed the Indiana-Jones-in-space feel of the first "UN-Forgettable" book, Unearthed, but Unraveled was better. The story was more evenly paced, the plot made (a little) more sense, and the characters were more engaging. I enjoyed the romance between Rayce and Tru, but what really held my interest was the novel's sense of adventure. I like C.J. Barry's writing style; it suits the tone of her stories we...more

I liked this book to a certain extent for a change I identified with the heroine Tru she's a scientist majj in this unvers and wants to earn her place at the institute. The hero Rayce is a bit annoying. It started well and then seemed to fade. Tru was searching out a treasure (the origin of which didn't seem to make sense, it was hidden by a race that had first revered art and culture but decided to collect it all in one place somewhere off planet then decided they didn't like art anymore and lo...more

Another fun adventure!

I'm enjoying these books a lot...to the point of not getting other things done that I should be doing! Love the sci-fi theme mixed with Indiana Jones adventure...

Unraveled was OK. It started off fine, but Rayce's prejudice against the Majj got old fast. Tru was a nice heroine who grew as the story progressed. They were cute together, but I thought their romance was a bit sappy. This story wasn't as entertaining as Unearthed.

Reaching Critical Mass Has Never Been So Fun!

She is running out of time. Her thirtieth birthday is more than an ordinary milestone for Majj Institute honorary member Tru Van Dye. She has until then to make a significant scientific discovery and secure her Charter or she'll be kicked out of the only home she's ever known. Unlike the rest of the Majj, she isn't at the Institute by virtue of one of the most coveted invitations in the galaxy. Her father was the head administrator of t...more

Unraveled is the second in C.J. Barry's UN-Forgettable series (after Unearthed). This time the futuristic romance is between Rayce Coburn (who made a small appearance in the first book) who deals in acquisitions and Tru Van Dyne, a Majj scientist looking for a treasure that is worth a fortune. Tru hires Rayce to help her find this lost collection promising him a portion of the treasure in return. However, Tru does not trust those outside of the Majj world and Rayce has a personal distrust of any...more

Soooooo, this one is a 3.5 for me, I think. I'm kind of on the fence about it. I think it's because the second half of the book lost me a bit. The first half was awesome. There was actual conflict between the hero and heroine. They had issues to work through and prejudices to overcome. Then, about halfway through the book, they both overcome those prejudices... but they don't tell the other person. So the romance conflict in the second half of the book doesn't work for me at all.

But it was still...more

I enjoyed this one even more than I did Unearthed. The adventure part was excellent and the relationship progressed smoothly and at a believable rate. (I'm happy I have the rest of the series waiting!)

I enjoyed this one even more than UnMasked. It had the feel of Indiana Jones to me and the hero reminded me of Han Solo.

Another winner.

A fun, delightful steamy romping adventure through space. With a black lab. Named Elvis.
