Al ...more

A picture book for adults, A Blueprint for Your Castle in the Clouds provides inspiration for how to live in your own head in ways that lead to an better outlook. Three “pre-fab” places get you started. The tree house felt particularly welcoming and cozy:

When you enter this space, you can feel clearly that you are part of something bigger–lifted and heightened, safe and protected, wise, closer to heaven, in touch with nature. Because of the grandeur and beauty around you, you can’t help but feel

I read this in the Dutch version (Handboek voor het bouwen van je eigen luchtkasteel) and am delighted to see it appear in English and that Deepak Chopra thinks so highly of it – as do I. Delightfully illustrated and persuasively written, this book contains a way of thinking and many positive messages that help enjoy life more.

This is odd and sweet at the same time. Think of it as a coloring book for your brain. If you need guided imagery for whatever reason, and want some inventive ideas to work with, Tammes is definitely your go-to girl.

I really enjoyed reading A blueprint for your castle in the Clouds. The book was really a blueprint to creating your very own secure place/space in your inner world. I enjoyed the pictures along with the way Barbara Tammies presents her ideas. I began reading this beautifully written book in a Goodreads giveaway as soon as I got it. My favorite chapters in the book were: The ballroom, art studio, inner courtyard, garden of wishes, playroom, and royal stables.

I thought this was a really nice book. It had a lot of good advice, and with enough time and dedication, I'm sure it would make all the difference in how you think and deal with things.

I recieved this book through the GoodReads First Reads Giveaway. This has not affected my review in any way.
