I'm new to the Military Wife title, I've been married to my Air Force husband for about 5 months, when I found out he's being deployed for six months in 2012. Grateful I had more time to prepare than most other men and women, I decided to read this book. It made me laugh and cry, feel down right guilty and sometimes even superior.

I learned that it takes a strong person to be able to go through all the things a military wife has to come across in there everyday lives. Most people think how can you go without seeing the one you love but they don't understand that you can't control who you fall in love with. For that reason you do anything and everything to be there for your loved one no matter what because in the end its there love that keeps you going and not to give up on what you are fighting for.
I adore this book! I've read the stories in it over and over and even purchased a copy to give to a fellow military wife friend of mine. So many of the stories I could relate to, but each touched my heart .. a few even drawing tears. This book makes you appreciate what you have, and certainly gives you the itch to cuddle with your loved ones!
I love this book! I try to read some here and there. I can't sit down and read more than one story at a time because each one brings me to tears. Heartfelt and understanding tears. These stories were written during a time when communication during deployment meant waiting weeks for letters. I have not experienced that lack of communication except about 4-6 weeks, maybe 2 or 3 times in our marriage. I feel so lucky and blessed.
I absolutely LOVE this book. It really helped me through a lot. Not the best book to read if your husband is deployed. It makes you very emotional. You definately don't need that while he is gone. But if he is at home definately recomend it. I LOVE IT.
Really not as good as I was hoping. I didn't cry (not even in chapter 8) and I only laughed a few times. I think it was too sugar coated. But unfortunately, I'm happy to say this book is over with. Maybe the next one will hit a little closer to home.
As a "veteran" military wife, I could really relate to a lot of these stories. Some were just a good story, and many brought me to tears. I don't think you can fully understand the life of a military family until you've been there.
This is a great book but almost every story made me cry. If your husband is deployed, I certainly DO NOT recommend it, because it will just make you miss him MORE!!!
I found this book to be a great source of comfort whil my husband had been deployed. I reconmend iit for all who like touching and true stories.
This book helped me relate to the many feelings that I was having while my husband was overseas.Great read even if your not a military wife.
Great book full of little stories. I can only read one at a time though because I start to cry everytime I pick up this book!
I love the chicken soup books. Especially the military wife, I can so relate to the life, and the book just touched my heart.
This book helped me so much through my husband's term in the Marine Corps including a deployment
I cryed I laughed...this book spoke to me so much. It's a book I'll continue to reread.
Such a good book! It's filled with great stories. I might finish the book today and I just started reading about an hour ago.
Truely great! I am a Marine wife. I give this book to new wives.

Great Self Help Book. Recommended to All Military Wives
I thought I would enjoy this a lot more than I did...I tend to enjoy books about soldiers and their families. It's amazing how different each perspective is and each experience. I found this book a little TOO heartwarming...I was always searching for the reality underneath it. Even the stories about finding out your soldier was never coming back home were too "nice" - I always felt like I was searching for the reality.
I expected to really cry a lot over this book that so many recommended. I didn't cry at all, I didn't enjoy this book much. I thought some of the stories were silly, not endearing. I don't know, I'm an Army wife but this didn't tug at the heart strings like I thought it would.

This book was amazing, I got hardly any sleep when I was reading this because I could'nt put it down. It will make you laugh and cry and all of the other emotions there is. It was awesome, I recommend it for any military wife out there.
As a new army wife going through her first deployment this book has been some what of a reflection. I read this book before my husband's deployment started but I still go back and say wow these other wives had it hard compared to me!

Being a military wife myself some of the stories told in this book was hard to read. It had me breaking down in tears every other page but I would definately recommend it to anyone!
I actually started reading this when Daniel got deployed last year. I could really relate to some of these stories and these women and their feelings. A good book for any military wife.
Have tissues nearby! I really loved the stories the women shared, some I related to and some were just so heartwarming! I cried through most of it thats for sure!
Fabulous book! All the Chicken Soup books are good, but this one really hits home for me. You don't have to be a military wife to appreciate the touching stories.
I liked it ~ but was sad there were no SUB WIVE Stories. Hopefully they will do another one and have more diversity.
I loved this book. It was very heart warming and heartfealt. It helped me out alot as well.
At times, a little too hokey for me. But sometimes you need the cheesey emotional stuff...
i loved this book...omg! tears upon tears, but it was great....
